He hopes to make contact with ROAR members in Melbourne and Sydney We ROAR-Japan had our 27th AGM of 2005 on 16-17th July in very ancient and traditional KURASHIKI City. Totally 47 people joined. We elected new President of this year JJ1KTZ Mitsu Shigehisa, International Net: JR1JCU Himax Ishihara, Secretary: JH1BEX Yuh Kishimura, Treasurer: JE1JQX Yoshi Mutoh.. We used to have about 150 members but we maintain 110 members now. We lost 2 active members JR1KYC Katsu Iwaya, JL6QWG Shige Ohmura and JR3QKZ Ichiro Tanaka as silent key. Next year’s AGM will be held in Hachioji, Tokyo on 8th-9th July 2006. Congratulations have been expressed to the ROAR-J members for their success with the 2004 ROAR special station, 8N3RI in Osaka. Ex President Ken Noguchi (JA3LHL) reported, worked on 7, 14 and 21MHz. Contacts made - 8587 from JA1 to JA0, 230 from the Convention centre; 8444 from Mobile stations and 104 countries. On Friday 29th July ROAR-Japan made its 8000th net on 7MHz. 30 stations joined the net which was controlled by Past President Nao Mohri (JJ1KMW). The net meets every morning (except Saturday and Sunday) on 7MHz SSB as well as CW.
