2007 Year-end Update: Key Messages
Significant investment in people, infrastructure and drilling during 2007 has established the foundation for future growth in production, reserves and value.
New reserves evaluation by D&M demonstrates the success of GEOPARKs technical team since the IPO.
2007 production reached 2,300 boepd at year-end, below expectations. However, reservoir studies conducted over the past 6 months give greater confidence in future growth. Current production is approximately 2,830 boepd net.
New long term gas sales contract secures the long term commercial development of the Fell Block in Chile.
GEOPARK has an ambitious US$57MM capex programme planned for 2008 encompassing 17-20 new wells and new facility construction primarily focused on Fell Block.
Tranquilo Block acquisition doubles net acreage position in Chile providing new avenues for organic growth and enhancing GEOPARKs leading position in Chile.

GEOPARK benefited from stronger oil and gas prices resulting from contract renegotiations and market factors.

Work undertaken to date (3D seismic, workovers and drilling) has established a large gas accumulation
D&M preliminary report reflect a migration of contingent resources into P3 reserves
Improved well performance by reservoir stimulation and further appraisal drilling has the potential to migrate P3 reserves to P1 and P2 categories
Reservoir studies and stimulation testing are underway with results expected during 2008
Additional contingent resources added to the south

Original MOU signed by both parties in Q1 2007
Alliance involves 4 main components:
Long term (10 years) gas supply contract. Term Sheet signed October 2007.
New gas price formula resulting in more advantageous pricing of gas for GEOPARK and a volume bonus directly linked to volumes above 18 mmcfd. Gas price over US$5/mcf achieved in Q1 2008. New price positively impacts reserve volumes and valuations
Gas Pre-Sale Agreement: US$ 40 million of gas to be sold in advance
Strategic partnership to acquire new blocks for gas exploration in Chile
The Methanex Agreement substantially de-risks exploration for gas on the Fell Block and financially underpins GEOPARKs medium term exploration and development activities
Methanex Strategic Alliance
18
Conclusions
GEOPARK intends to aggressively explore, appraise and develop its highly prospective acreage in Chile. This will involve a 17-20 well drilling programme with a capex of US$57 million.
Management is actively pursuing a solution to the reservoir performance issue which has so far constrained gas production in the Santiago Norte Grande accumulation in the Fell Block. Resolution of this issue is expected to have important implications for reserves and production during the next 12 months.
The recent acquisition of a 30% working interest in the high potential Tranquilo block (and operatorship) doubles GEOPARKs net acreage position in Chile.
