DIFFERENTIAL POWER TRANSFORMER RELAY (87)

I. SCOPE :

This specification should be applicable to differential relay intended forprotecting the power three coil transformer.

II. STANDARD OF MANUFACTURE AND TEST :IEC 255 : Electric relays.

III. DESCRIPTION :

1. Construction :- The relay should operate on the basis of numeral measuring principle.- Display : LCD.- Terminals: Plug - in screw type.- The relay consists of a case used for flush mounting and should be

supplied with all accessories for installation and operation.

2. Technical data :- The protective function :

+ Biased different protection for three phase power three coilstransformer (one high voltage winding, two medium voltagewindings). The relay should have the individual contacts per phase.

+ Restricted earth fault protection.+ Over fluxing protection.+ Measurement of phase, differential and bias currents.+ Comprehensive self-checking and alarms.

+ Integral event recorder accessible from PC.+ Flexible operating logic options via software function links.+ Numerical display of setting values, measured values, recorded fault

values, ...

- DC supply : 90 240 Vdc.

Tenderer may quote the relay with operating voltage of 110Vdc10%and the voltage divider to be able to supply the operating voltage of220Vdc to the relay.

- Rated current (In) : 1A- Rated frequency : 50 Hz- Thermal withstand capability in current circuit :

+ Continuous : 04 x In+ for 3s : 10 x In+ for 1s :100 x In

- Dynamic over load : 250 x In

- Minimum operating time : 25 ms

- Reset time : 30 ms

- Accuracy :

+ 3% set current value.

+ 1% of the time value.

-Environment :+ Ambient temperature : 0 to 55oC+ Humidity : 0 - 95%.

3. Accessory :- 01 test block 14 circuits, 10A-240VDC

+ Test block offers facilities for monitoring and secondary injectiontesting and power system protection scheme when used with test

plug.+ Test block can be fixed to relay without addition any equipment.

- 01 test plug 14 circuits, 10A-240VDC- All other accessories for the installation and operation.

IV/. TESTING REQUIREMENT :

- The relay is subject to inspection during manufacturing. Routine andtype tests of each relay including operational test at minimum,accuracy tests will be performed according to IEC 255 standard.

- In order to ensure the quality of supplied goods , in case of bid winning

, the Tenderer shall supply routine test and copies of type test reportmet the following requirements:a. Routine test shall be performed for each equipment.b. Type test report shall meet the followings :

- Testing sample : The same as the supplied item (manufacturer,original country, manufactures code as specified in tender document).

- Testing items : Including testing items according to IEC 255.- Testing values shall be corresponding values as stated in Section III

of this specification. If in section III, there are no corresponding values,testing values will be selected according to the standard specified insection II of this specification.

V/. REQUIREMENT OF TECHNICAL TENDER DOCUMENT :- Technical description, data sheets, catalogues and other material

submitted with the quotation must enable the buyer's engineers tothoroughly evaluate the proposals as to its compliance with the inquiryspecifications.

- Minimum requirements :+ Detailed summary of deviations to inquiry specification.+ Completed inquiry data sheet expressed at clause VI.+ Brochures and catalogues containing outline dimensions, main

electrical dataand installation details.

+ Certificate of quality management.- The proposal bidding has Type Test Report which meets the
