Clean the enclosure only with a dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner.

You must allow 10 cm or 4 inches of unobstructed clearance around theunit. Do not place the unit on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that couldblock the ventilation slots. If the component is placed in a bookcase orcabinet, there must be ventilation of the cabinet to allow proper cooling.

Keep the component away from radiators, heat registers, stoves, or anyother appliance that produces heat.

The unit must be connected to a power supply only of the type and volt-age specified on the rear panel of the unit.

Connect the component to the power outlet only with the supplied powersupply cable or an exact equivalent. Do not modify the supplied cable inany way. Do not attempt to defeat grounding and/or polarization provi-sions. Do not use extension cords.

Do not route the power cord where it will be crushed, pinched, bent atsevere angles, exposed to heat, or damaged in any way. Pay particularattention to the power cord at the plug and where it exits the back of theunit.

The power cord should be unplugged from the wall outlet if the unit is tobe left unused for a long period of time.

Immediately stop using the component and have it inspected and/or ser-viced by a qualified service agency if:

• The power supply cord or plug has been damaged.

• Objects have fallen or liquid has been spilled into the unit.

• The unit has been exposed to rain.

• The unit shows signs of improper operation

• The unit has been dropped or damaged in any way

Place the unit on a fixed, level surface strong enoughto support its weight. Do not place it on a moveablecart that could tip over.

There is nothing understated about theRMB-1075. It is a massive five-channel poweramplifier, capable of providing extremely highpower output in the most demanding appli-cations. In fact, the limiting factor in theRMB-1075’s output levels will often be thecapacity of your home’s electrical supply. Dis-crete output devices, a massive power sup-ply with toroidal transformers, premium com-ponents, and Rotel’s Balanced Design ensuresuperb sound quality. High current capabil-ity allows the RMB-1075 to drive difficultspeaker loads with ease.

Be aware that the RMB-1075 is capable ofhigh power levels, in excess of 120 watts perchannel into 8 ohms. Make sure that yourspeakers can handle the power of theRMB-1075. If in doubt about your speakers,ask your authorized Rotel dealer for advice.

The RMB-1075 is straightforward in its instal-lation and operation. If you have experiencewith other stereo power amplifiers, youshouldn’t find anything perplexing. Connecthigh-quality RCA cables between your preampor signal processor and the amplifier inputs,wire up your speakers, and enjoy.

Save the RMB-1075 shipping carton and allenclosed packing material for future use. Ship-ping or moving the RMB-1075 in anythingother than the original packing material mayresult in severe damage to your amplifier.

Placement

The RMB-1075 generates heat as part of itsnormal operation. The heat sinks and venti-lation openings in the amplifier are designedto dissipate this heat. The ventilation slots inthe top cover must be open. There should be10 cm (4 inches) of clearance around thechassis, and reasonable airflow through theinstallation location, to prevent the amplifierfrom overheating.

Likewise, remember the weight of the ampli-fier when you select an installation location.Make sure that the shelf or cabinet can sup-port its considerable bulk. Again, use com-mon sense.

THX is an exclusive set of standards and tech-nologies established by the world-renownedfilm production company, Lucasfilm Ltd. THXgrew from George Lucas’ personal desire tomake your experience of the film soundtrack,in both movie theaters and in your home the-ater, as faithful as possible to what the direc-tor intended.

Movie sound tracks are mixed in special movietheaters called dubbing stages and are de-signed to be played back in movie theaterswith similar equipment and conditions. Thesoundtrack created for movie theaters is thentransferred directly onto Laserdisc, VHS tape,DVD, etc., and is not changed for playbackin a small home theater environment. AC Power and ControlAC Power Input

Because of its high power rating, theRMB-1075 can draw considerable current andmay tax your home’s electrical circuit. There-fore, it should be plugged directly into a walloutlet. Do not use an extension cord. A heavyduty multi-tap power outlet strip may be used,but only if it (and the wall outlet) is rated tohandle the current demanded by theRMB-1075.

Be sure the Power Switch on the front panelof the RMB-1075 is turned off (in the out po-sition). Then, connect the supplied power cordto the Power Connector on the back panelof the amplifier and to the AC power outlet.

Your RMB-1075 is configured at the factoryfor the proper AC line voltage in the countrywhere you purchased it (either 115 volts ACor 230 volts AC with a line frequency of ei-ther 50 Hz or 60 Hz). The AC line configu-ration is noted on a label on the back panel.

NOTE: Should you move your RMB-1075to another country, it is possible to config-ure your amplifier for use on a differentline voltage. Do not attempt to perform thisconversion yourself. Opening the enclosureof the RMB-107 5 exposes you to danger-ous voltages. Consult a qualified technicianor the Rotel factory service department forinformation.

If you are going to be away from home foran extended period of time such as a month-long vacation, it is a sensible precaution tounplug your amplifier while you are away.

Power Switch andPower Indicator

The power switch is located in the center ofthe front panel of your amplifier. To turn theamplifier on, push the switch in. The LED in-dicator above the switch will light, indicatingthat the amplifier is turned on. To turn the am-plifier off, push the button again and returnit to the out position.

Trigger ON/OFFMode Selector

The Amplifier provides the option for manualor automatic power on/off operation. Thesemodes are selectable using a toggle switchon the back panel.

With the switch in the +12V TRIGGER ONposition, the amplifier is turned on automati-cally when a 12V trigger signal is present atthe 3.5 mm Jack of TRIGGER IN on the rearpanel. The amplifier will go into standby modeif the +12V signal is not present. The front panelPOWER SWITCH overrides this function. It mustbe ON for the +12V trigger to work. Turningthe switch OFF cuts power to the amplifier,regardless of whether or not a trigger signalis present.

12V Trigger Inputand Output

The jack labeled IN is for connecting the 3.5mmPlug/Cable carrying a +12 volt trigger sig-nal to turn the amplifier on and off. To usethis feature the toggle switch must be set tothe ON position. This input accepts any con-trol signal (AC or DC) ranging from 3 voltsto 30 volts.

The jack labeled OUT is for connecting an-other 3.5mm plug/cable to provide a 12Vtrigger signal to other components. The 12Voutput signal is available whenever a +12 volttrigger signal is applied to the IN connector.

Protection Circuitry

The RMB-1075 features a thermal protectioncircuit that protects the amplifier against po-tential damage in the event of extreme or faultyoperating conditions. Unlike many designs,the RMB-1075 protection circuit is indepen-dent of the audio signal and has no impacton sonic performance. Instead, the protectioncircuit monitors the temperature of the outputdevices and shuts down the amplifier if tem-peratures exceed safe limits.

Most likely, you will never see this protectioncircuitry in action. However, should a faultycondition arise, the amplifier will stop play-ing and an LED indicator on the front panelwill light.

If this happens, turn the amplifier off, let it cooldown for several minutes, and attempt to iden-tify and correct the problem. When you turnthe amplifier back on, the protection circuitwill automatically reset and the LED indica-tor should go out.

In most cases, the protection circuitry activatesbecause of a fault condition such as shortedspeaker wires, or inadequate ventilation lead-ing to an overheating condition. In very rarecases, highly reactive or extremely low im-pedance speaker loads could cause the pro-tection circuit to engage.

If the protection circuitry triggers repeatedlyand you are unable to isolate and correct thefaulty condition, contact your Rotel audioretailer for assistance in troubleshooting.

Input Signal Connection [See Figure 2 for wiring illustration.]

The RMB-1075 has conventional RCA type in-put connectors, the type found on nearly allaudio equipment.

Note: Do not connect inputs to both theRCA and DB25 inputs. (See the followingsection.) Use one or the other.Note: To prevent loud noises that neitheryou nor your speakers will appreciate,make sure the amplifier is turned off whenyou make any signal connections.

Use high quality audio interconnect cables.Connect the various outputs of your pream-plifier or signal processor to the correspond-ing inputs of the RMB-1075. Check these con-nections carefully to be sure there are no in-correct connections.

DB25 Connector Input

The RMB-1075 is also equiped with a DB25type input. This input is typically only used inprofessionally-installed custom systems. TheDB25 input duplicates the function of the fiveRCA inputs. For information regarding howto use this input, contact your nearest autho-rized Rotel service center.

Speaker ConnectionSpeaker Selection

We recommend using loudspeakers with anominal impedance of 4 ohms or higher withthe RMB-1075. You should exercise some cau-tion in driving multiple pairs of speakers inparallel configuration, because the effectiveimpedance the amplifier sees is cut in half.For example, when driving two pair of 8 ohmspeakers, the amplifier sees a 4 ohm load.When driving multiple speakers in parallel,it is recommended that you select speakerswith a nominal impedance of 8 ohms or higher.Speaker impedance ratings are less thanprecise. In practice, very few loudspeakers willpresent any problems for the RMB-1075. Seeyour authorized Rotel dealer if you have anyquestions.

Speaker Wire Selection

Use insulated two-conductor stranded wire toconnect the RMB-1075 to the speakers. Thesize and quality of the wire can have an au-dible effect on the performance of the system.Standard speaker wire will work, but can resultin lower output or diminished bass response,particularly over longer distances. In general,heavier wire will improve the sound. For bestperformance, you may want to consider spe-cial high-quality speaker cables. Your autho-rized Rotel dealer can help in the selectionof appropriate cables for your system.

Polarity and Phasing

The polarity — the positive/negative orien-tation of the connections — for every speakerand amplifier connection must be consistentso all the speakers will be in phase. If the po-larity of one connection is mistakenly reversed,bass output will be very weak and stereo im-aging degraded. All wire is marked so youcan identify the two conductors. There maybe ribs or a stripe on the insulation of oneconductor. The wire may have clear insula-tion with different color conductors (copperand silver). There may be polarity indicationsprinted on the insulation. Identify the positiveand negative conductors and be consistent withevery speaker and amplifier connection.

Speaker Connection

The RMB-1075 has five pairs of color codedbinding posts on the back panel. These con-nectors accept bare wire, connector lugs, ordual banana type connectors (except in theEuropean Community countries where theiruse is not permitted).

The negative connectors for all the channelsare black. The positive connectors for the rightfront and surround speakers are red. The posi-tive connectors for the left front and surroundspeakers are blue. The positive connector forthe center speaker is green.

Route the wire from the RMB-1075 to thespeakers. Give yourself enough slack so youcan move the components enough to allowaccess to the speaker connectors.

If you are using dual banana plugs, connectthem to the wires and then plug into the backsof the binding posts. The hexagonal thumb-screws of the binding posts should be screwedin all the way (clockwise).

If you are using terminal lugs, connect themto the wires. If you are attaching bare wiresdirectly to the binding posts, separate the wireconductors and strip back the insulation fromthe end of each conductor. Be careful not tocut into the wire strands. Unscrew (turn coun-terclockwise) the binding post hexagonalthumbscrews. Place the connector lug or wirearound the binding post shaft. Turn the hex-agonal thumbscrews clockwise to clamp theconnector lug or wire firmly in place.

Note: Be sure there are no loose wirestrands that could touch adjacent wires orconnectors.

TroubleshootingMost difficulties in audio systems are the re-sult of poor or wrong connections, or impropercontrol settings. If you encounter problems,isolate the area of the difficulty, check the con-trol settings, determine the cause of the faultand make the necessary changes. If you areunable to get sound from the RMB-1075, re-fer to the suggestions for the following con-ditions:

Front Panel Power IndicatorIs Not Lit

No main power to the RMB-1075 . Check thefront panel power switch. Make sure that itis set to the on position. Check power con-nections at the amplifier and the outlet.

Fuse Replacement

If everything checks out correctly and you stillcannot get the amplifier to turn on, the inter-nal power fuse may have blown. If you be-lieve this has happened, contact your autho-rized Rotel dealer for information on whereto take your amplifier to get the fuse replaced.

No Sound

If the amp is getting power, but is producingno sound, check the Protection indicator onthe front panel. If it is lit, see below. If not,check all of your connections and controlsettings on associated components.

Protection Indicator Is Lit

The front panel indicator lights when theRMB-1075 protection circuits have shut off theamplifier. Typically, this occurs only when theventilation openings are blocked, when thereis faulty speaker wiring, or after a period ofextreme use. Turn off the system and wait forthe amp to cool. Then push the front panelpower switch in and out to reset the protec-tion devices. If the problem is not correctedor reoccurs, there is a problem with the sys-tem or the amplifier itself.

Par exemple, il ne doit pas êtreposé sur un fauteuil, un canapé, une couverture ou toute autresurface susceptible de boucher ses ouïes d’aération ; ou placédans un meuble empêchant la bonne circulation d’air autourdes orifices d’aération.

Cet appareil doit être placé loin de toute source de chaleur,tels que radiateurs, chaudières, bouches de chaleur ou d’autresappareils (y compris amplificateurs de puissance) produisantde la chaleur.

Cet appareil doit être branché sur une prise d’alimentationsecteur, d’une tension et d’un type conformes à ceux qui sontindiqués sur la face arrière de l’appareil.

Brancher l’appareil uniquement grâce au cordon secteur fourni,ou à un modèle équivalent. Ne pas tenter de modifier ouchanger la prise. Notamment, ne pas tenter de supprimer laprise de terre si celle-ci est présente. Ne pas utiliser de cor-don rallonge.

Prendre garde à ce que ce cordon d’alimentation ne soit paspincé, écrasé ou détérioré sur tout son trajet, à ce qu’il nesoit pas mis en contact avec une source de chaleur. Vérifiersoigneusement la bonne qualité des contacts, à l’arrière del’appareil comme dans la prise murale.

Si l’appareil ne doit pas être utilisé pendant une longue période,la prise secteur sera débranchée.

Service après vente — L’appareil doit être immédiatementéteint, débranché puis éventuellement retourné au serviceaprès-vente agréé dans les cas suivants :

• Le cordon secteur ou la prise ont été endommagés.

• Un objet est tombé, ou du liquide a coulé à l’intérieur del’appareil.

• L’appareil a été exposé à la pluie.

• L’appareil ne fonctionne pas normalement, ou ses perfor-mances sont anormalement limitées.

• L’appareil est tombé, ou le coffret est endommagé.

Placer l’appareil sur une surface plane,solide et rigide. Ne jamais placerl’appareil sur une surface ou un sup-port mobile pouvant basculer.

Positionnement

Comme la plupart des maillons haute fidélitétraversés par des courants élevés, le RMB-1075dégage une certaine quantité de chaleurpendant son fonctionnement. C’est pourquoiil possède un radiateur de refroidissementinterne et des ouïes de ventilation. Ne bloquezdonc pas ses ouïes supérieures derefroidissement. Il doit y avoir environ 10 cmde dégagement tout autour lui pour permettrele bon fonctionnement de sa ventilation, et unebonne circulation d’air tout autour du meublequi le supporte.

N’oubliez pas non plus, lors de son installa-tion, qu’il s’agit d’un appareil lourd. L’étagèreou le support utilisés doivent être suffisammentrobustes et rigides : dans ce domaine, le senscommun s’applique.

Au sujet du THX Ultra™

THX représente un ensemble de paramètreset standards à respecter, établis par la firmede production de films internationalementréputée Lucasfilm Ltd. À l’origine, le standardTHX vient du souhait de Georges Lucas debénéficier, aussi bien dans les salles de cinémaprofessionnelles que pour les installationspersonnelles de Home Cinema, d’une qualitésonore équivalente à celle désirée par leréalisateur et l’ingénieur du son du film.

Les bandes sonores des films sont montées etmixées dans des « salles de cinéma »spéciales, appelées salles de montage, et sontconçues pour être ensuite diffusées dans dessalles de cinéma présentant les mêmescaractéristiques acoustiques et un équipementéquivalent. C’est cette même bande sonorequi est directement transférée sur un LaserDisc,une cassette VHS ou un disque DVD, sansaucune modification lorsqu’elle est écoutéedans un environnement grand public HomeCinema. Alimentation secteur etmise sous tensionPrise d’alimentation secteur

Compte tenu de la puissance qu’il peut délivrer,l’amplificateur RMB-1075 peut demander uncourant très élevé et ainsi être particulièrementexigeant vis-à-vis de votre installationélectrique. C’est pourquoi nous vousconseillons très vivement de ne le brancherque directement dans une prise murale muniedes trois broches normalisées. N’utilisez pasde câble rallonge ! Une prise multiple pourraéventuellement être utilisée, mais seulementsi elle possède la capacité en courant(ampères) demandée par le RMB-1075 et lesautres appareils branchés conjointement.

Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur de mise soustension POWER SWITCH, en face avant, estbien en position « éteint » (OFF). Branchezalors le cordon secteur en face arrière sur laprise repérée POWER CONNECTOR , puisl’autre extrémité dans la prise muraled’alimentation.

Votre RMB-1075 a été configuré en usine pourla tension d’alimentation secteur du pays pourlequel il est prévu (115 ou 230 volts, fréquence50 ou 60 Hz). Cette valeur est indiquée surune étiquette, en face arrière.

NOTE : si vous devez déménager dans unautre pays, il est possible de modifierl’alimentation du RMB-1075. Ne tentezpas d’effectuer cette transformation vous-même. Elle nécessite une intervention in-terne présentant des risques d’électrocutionsi certaines précautions ne sont pasrespectées Consultez directement unrevendeur agréé Rotel pour connaître laprocédure à suivre.

Si vous vous absentez pendant une longuepériode (un mois ou plus), nous vousconseillons de débrancher la prise muraled’alimentation.

Interrupteur de mise soustension et indicateur

L’interrupteur de mise sous tension se trouveau centre de la face avant. Il suffit d’appuyerdessus pour mettre l’amplificateur sous ten-sion. La diode placée juste au-dessus s’allumealors. Une nouvelle pression sur l’interrupteuréteint l’appareil.

Sélecteur de mode Triggeractif ou non ON/OFF

Cet amplificateur vous propose la possibilitéde piloter ou non sa mise sous tension. Lesdeux modes disponibles sont sélectionnés viaun sélecteur placé en face arrière.

Lorsque le sélecteur est placé sur la positionrepérée + 12V TRIGGER ON, l’amplificateurs’allume automatiquement lorsqu’une tensionde 12 volts est envoyée sur sa prise repéréeTRIGGER IN. Il se remet en mode de veilleStandby dès que cette tension disparaît surla prise. L’interrupteur en face avant est placéavant ce sélecteur : il doit être pressé pour quela commutation TRIGGER 12 V soit effectiveet efficace. Couper l’alimentation avec cetinterrupteur éteint l’amplificateur, qu’il y aitou non une tension de 12 volts sur la priseTRIGGER.

Entrée et sortie Trigger12 volts

La prise repérée IN est prévue pour transporterla tension de 12 volts nécessaire aufonctionnement de la commutation TRIGGERque nous venons de décrire. Pour être efficace,le sélecteur TRIGGER doit être sur sa positionON. Cette entrée accepte en fait une tensioncontinue ou alternative, d’une valeur compriseentre 3 et 30 volts.

La prise repérée OUT permet de brancher uneautre prise jack 3,5 mm pour renvoyer latension de commutation vers un autre appareil.La tension 12 volts n’est toutefois présente quesi la prise IN est réellement alimentée par unetelle tension.

Circuit de protection

Le RMB-1075 possède un circuit de protec-tion thermique interne, qui le protège contretout dommage éventuel dû à des conditionsde fonctionnement anormales ou extrêmes.Contrairement à la majorité des autresamplificateurs de puissance, ce circuit esttotalement indépendant du trajet du signalaudio, et n’a donc aucune influence sur lesperformances musicales. Ce circuit contrôleaussi en permanence la température desétages de sortie, et coupe automatiquementl’amplificateur si celle-ci dépasse une valeurnormale.

Normalement, vous ne verrez jamais ces di-odes s’allumer. En cas de problème,l’amplificateur se coupera automatiquement,et les diodes s’allumeront.

Si cela arrive, éteignez immédiatementl’amplificateur. Laissez le refroidir quelquesminutes, que vous mettrez à profit pour iden-tifier et corriger le problème (branchements,court-circuit, etc.). Lorsque vous remettrezl’amplificateur sous tension, le circuit de pro-tection se réinitialisera automatiquement et lesdiodes s ‘éteindront.

Dans la plupart des cas, la mise en servicede la protection est due à un court-circuit dansles câbles des enceintes acoustiques, ou àcause d’un mauvais respect de la ventilationcorrecte de l’amplificateur. Dans de très rarescas, la charge à très faible impédance ou trèsréactive de certaines enceintes acoustiquespeut entraîner la mise en service de la pro-tection.

Branchements dessignaux en entrée [Voir Figure 2 pour les câblages]

Le RMB-1075 possède des prises d’entréeconventionnelles Cinch-RCA, du type de cellesque l’on trouve sur la grande majorité desautres maillons haute fidélité.

Note : n’utilisez pas simultanément lesprises RCA et la prise DB 25 (voir leparagraphe suivant). Utilisez l’une oul’autre de ces deux solutions.Note : pour éviter des bruits parasitessusceptibles de détériorer les enceintesacoustiques, éteignez l’amplificateur pen-dant les branchements !

Choisissez des câbles de liaison de hautequalité. Branchez chacune des sorties dupréamplificateur ou processeur Surround surles entrées correspondantes des canauxrespectifs du RMB-1075.

Prise d’entrée DB25

Le RMB-1075 est également équipé d’une prised’entrée multibroches de type DB25. Cetteprise est utilisée uniquement avec des appareilscomportant son équivalent en sortie : ellereproduit les branchements normalementeffectués avec les cinq câbles de modulationCinch-RCA. Pour de plus amples informationsconcernant l’utilisation de cette prise, veuillezcontacter votre revendeur agréé Rotel.

Enceintes acoustiquesChoix des enceintes

L’impédance nominale de chaque enceintebranchée sur le RMB-1075 doit être d’au moins4 ohms. En effet, lorsqu’un amplificateuralimente plus d’une enceinte en parallèle,l’impédance résultante est divisée par deux.Par exemple, deux enceintes, de 8 ohmschacune, branchée simultanément sur le mêmecanal donnent une impédance de 4 ohms, vuepar l’amplificateur. Si vous branchez deuxenceintes sur le même canal, choisissez desmodèles d’impédance nominale 8 ohms, carcelle-ci descend en pratique souvent au-dessousde cette valeur. Cela dit, seules quelques raresenceintes acoustiques risquent de poserproblème avec le RMB-1075. En cas de doute,consultez votre revendeur agréé Rotel.

Choix de la section du câbled’enceintes

Utilisez du câble deux conducteurs isolés pourrelier le RMB-1075 aux enceintes. La taille etla qualité du câble peuvent avoir de l’influencesur les performances musicales. Un câble stan-dard fonctionnera, mais il peut présenter deslimitations quant à la dynamique réellementreproduite ou à la qualité du grave, surtoutsur de grandes longueurs. En général, un câblede plus fort diamètre entraîne une améliorationdu son. Pour des performances optimales,penchez-vous sur l’offre en terme de câblesde très haute qualité. Votre revendeur agrééRotel est en mesure de vous renseignerefficacement à ce sujet.

Polarité et mise en phase

La polarité – autrement dit l’orientation correctedu « + » et du « – » pour chaque branchemententre l’amplificateur et le RMB-1075, et en-tre le RMB-1075 et les enceintes acoustiquesdoit être respecté pour toutes les enceintes,afin que celles-ci soient toutes en phase. Sila phase d’une seule enceinte est inversée, ilen résultera un manque de grave sensible etune dégradation importante de l’imagestéréophonique. Tous les câbles sont repérésafin que vous puissiez identifier clairementleurs deux conducteurs. Soit les câbles sontdifférents (un cuivré, un argenté), soit la gaineest de couleur différente (filet de couleur), soitelle est gravée. Assurez-vous que vous repérezbien le conducteur repéré pour toutes les li-aisons, et que vous respectez parfaitement laphase sur toutes les enceintes acoustiques, parrapport à l’entrée.

Branchement des enceintes

Le RMB-1075 est équipé de cinq paires debornes vissantes repérées par leur code decouleur (–) et (+). Ces prises repérées acceptentindifféremment du câble nu, des cosses oufourches spéciales, ou encore des fichesbanane (sauf en Europe, où les nouvellesnormes CE l’interdisent).

Toutes les prises correspondant au conducteurnégatif (–) sont noires. Celles correspondantau conducteur positif (+) des enceintes frontalesgauche et droit sont rouges. Les prises posi-tives (+) des enceintes arrière Surround sontbleues. Enfin, la prise positive (+) de l’enceintecentrale avant est verte.

Tirez le câble de l’amplificateur vers lesenceintes acoustiques. Prévoyez suffisammentde longueur pour qu’il ne subisse aucunecontrainte sur toute sa longueur et que vouspuissiez déplacer les éléments sans qu’il soittendu (accès aux prises de l’amplificateur).

Si vous utilisez des fourches, insérez-les à fonddans le logement offert par les prises et serrezfermement. Si vous utilisez du fil nu, dénudeztous les câbles sur une longueur suffisante,et torsadez les brins de chaque conducteurde telle manière qu’aucun brin ne puisse veniren contact avec un autre d’un autre conducteur(court-circuit). Suivant la taille des torsades,insérez-les dans les trous centraux des prisesou entourez-le autour des axes de celles-ci(sens des aiguilles d’une montre). Dans tousles cas, serrez fermement à la main les bornesvissantes.

NOTE : Vérifiez bien qu’il n’y ait aucunbrin qui vienne en contact avec des brinsou la prise adjacente.

Problèmes defonctionnementLa majorité des problèmes survenant dans uneinstallation haute fidélité est due à de mauvaisbranchements, ou à une mauvaise utilisationd’un ou de plusieurs maillons. Si le problèmeest bien lié au RMB-1075, il s’agit trèscertainement d’un mauvais branchement. Voiciquelques vérifications de base qui résolventla majorité des problèmes rencontrés :

L’indicateur Power de misesous tension ne s’allume pas

L’amplificateur RMB-1075 n’est pas alimentépar le secteur. Vérifiez la position del’interrupteur de mise sous tension POWER(position ON). Vérifiez la qualité des contactsdu cordon secteur, et l’alimentation réelle dela prise murale.

Remplacement du fusible

Si après vérification complète et éventuellementcorrection d’un problème tout vous semblenormal, il se peut que le fusible interne aitfondu. Si vous pensez que c’est ce qui estarrivé, contactez immédiatement votrerevendeur agréé Rotel.

Pas de son

Si l’amplificateur est bien sous tension maisqu’aucun son n’en sort, regardez la diode deprotection sur la face avant. Si elle est allumée,voir le paragraphe suivant. Si elle est éteinte,vérifiez tous les maillons du système, la qualitédes branchements et la position des diversescommandes.

Diode de protection allumée

Le circuit de protection est entré enfonctionnement et la diode de protection s’estallumée. Cela arrive quand les ouïes d’aérationont été obstruées, quand il y a un court-cir-cuit dans les sorties enceintes, ou sil’amplificateur a fonctionné très longtemps àpuissance maximum. Éteignez l’amplificateuret attendez qu’il refroidisse. Le fait d’appuyerà nouveau sur l’interrupteur de mise soustension pour rallumer l’appareil entraînera laréinitialisation automatique des circuits deprotection. Si la protection se remet àfonctionner, il y a un problème dans le systèmeou l’amplificateur lui-même.

Die RMB-1075 überzeugt durch einehervorragende Wiedergabequalität und eineausgesprochen hohe Ausgangsleistung. Dafürsorgen hochwertige Leistungstransistoren, eingroßzügig dimensioniertes Netzteil mitRingkerntransformatoren, erstklassige Bauteileund Rotels Balanced-Design-Konzept.Aufgrund der hohen Stromlieferfähigkeit kanndie RMB-1075 problemlos an anspruchsvolleLautsprecher angeschlossen werden.

Stellen Sie unbedingt sicher, daß die RMB-1075 nur mit Lautsprechern kombiniert wird,die 120 Watt/Kanal an 8 Ohm standhalten.Sollten Sie hierzu Fragen haben, wenden Siesich bitte an Ihren autorisierten Rotel-Fachhändler.

Die RMB-1075 ist einfach zu installieren undzu bedienen. Sollten Sie bereits Erfahrung mitder Installation anderer Endstufen haben,dürften keinerlei Probleme auftreten. VerbindenSie die Ausgänge Ihres Vorverstärkers bzw.Signalprozessors mit den Eingängen IhrerEndstufe. Verwenden Sie dazu hochwertigeCinch-Kabel. Verbinden Sie anschließend dieLautsprecher mit der RMB-1075.

Lesen Sie sich die Bedienungsanleitung bittevor der Inbetriebnahme genau durch. Nebengrundsätzlichen Installations- undBedienungshinweisen (bitte beachten Sie auchdie Sicherheits- und Warnhinweise am Anfangder Bedienungsanleitung) enthält sieallgemeine Informationen, die Ihnen helfenwerden, Ihr System mit seiner maximalenLeistungsfähigkeit zu betreiben. Aufstellung des Gerätes

Die RMB-1075 erwärmt sich während desBetriebes. Diese Wärme kann unter normalenBedingungen über die Kühlrippen undVentilationsöffnungen der Endstufe problemlosabgeführt werden. Achten Sie aus diesemGrund darauf, daß die Ventilationsöffnungenan der Oberseite nicht verdeckt werden. Umdas Gehäuse sollte ein Freiraum von 10 cmbestehen, um eine ausreichende Luftzirkulationzu gewährleisten und die Endstufe so vorÜberhitzung zu schützen.

Berücksichtigen Sie beim Aufbau das Gewichtder Endstufe. Stellen Sie sicher, daß das Re-gal oder der Schrank auf das vergleichsweisehohe Gewicht der RMB-1075 ausgelegt ist.

THX Ultra™

Unter THX sind eine Reihe von Standards undTechnologien zu verstehen, die von derrenommierten Filmgesellschaft Lucasfilm Ltd.entwickelt wurden. THX ist aus dem Bedürfnisvon George Lucas entstanden, den Ton einesFilms sowohl im Kino als auch in IhremWohnraum so wiederzugeben, wie ihn derRegisseur beim Abmischen hört.

Der Original-Soundtrack für einen Film wirdin speziellen Studios abgemischt und optimalauf die Wiedergabebedingungen in einemKino abgestimmt. Der so abgestimmte Ton wirddann direkt auf Laserdisc, VHS-Band, DVDusw. übertragen und nicht an dieWiedergabebedingungen in kleinerenHeimkinoumgebungen angepaßt. Aus diesemGrund entwickelten die THX-Ingenieure einpatentiertes, neues Verfahren, das die richtigeWiedergabe eines Film-Soundtracks in IhrerHeimkinoumgebung sicherstellt.

Bevor eine HiFi-Cinema-Komponente die THXUltra-Zertifizierung erhält, gilt es, die THX-Technologien in das System zu integrieren undstrenge Qualitäts- und Leistungstests zudurchlaufen. Netzspannung undBedienungNetzeingang

Aufgrund der hohen Aufnahmeleistungbenötigt die RMB-1075 erheblicheStrommengen. Daher sollte sie direkt an eineWandsteckdose angeschlossen werden.Verwenden Sie kein Verlängerungskabel. Einehochbelastbare Mehrfachsteckdose kanneingesetzt werden, wenn sie (ebenso wie dieWandsteckdose) ausreichende Strommengenfür die RMB-1075 liefern kann.

Stellen Sie sicher, daß die RMB-1075abgeschaltet ist (sich der Netzschalter in derAUS-Position befindet). Verbinden Sie dasbeiliegende Netzkabel mit dem Netzeingang

an der Rückseite der RMB-1075 und derSteckdose.

Ihre RMB-1075 wird von Rotel so eingestellt,daß sie der in Ihrem Land üblichenWechselspannung (entweder 230 VoltWechselspannung oder 115 VoltWechselspannung mit einer Netzfrequenz von50 Hz oder 60 Hz) entspricht. Die Einstellungist an der Geräterückseite angegeben.

HINWEIS: Sollten Sie mit Ihrer RMB-1075in ein anderes Land umziehen, kann dieEndstufe so eingestellt werden, daß sie miteiner anderen Netzspannung betriebenwerden kann. Versuchen Sie auf keinenFall, diese Änderung selber vorzunehmen.Durch Öffnen des Endstufengehäusessetzen Sie sich gefährlichen Spannungenaus. Ziehen Sie hierzu stets qualifiziertesServicepersonal zu Rate.

Sind Sie, wie z.B. bei einer mehrwöchigenUrlaubsreise, für längere Zeit nicht zu Hause,sollten Sie Ihre Endstufe (ebenso wie alleanderen Audio- und Videokomponenten)während Ihrer Abwesenheit vom Netz trennen.

Netzschalter undBetriebsanzeige

Der Netzschalter ist in die Gerätefront derRMB-1075 integriert. Drücken Sie ihn, um dasGerät einzuschalten. Die Betriebsanzeige überdem Schalter beginnt zu leuchten. Durcherneutes Drücken des Netzschalters schaltenSie die RMB-1075 aus.

Kippschalter zum Ein-/Ausschalten der automatischenSignalerfassung

Die RMB-1075 verfügt an der Rückseite übereinen Schalter, über den Sie die automatischeSignalerfassung ein- bzw. ausschalten können.

• Befindet sich der Kippschalter in derON-Position, schaltet sich die Endstufeautomatisch ein, wenn an der 3,5-mm-12VTRIGGER IN-Buchse an der Geräterückseiteein 12-V-Triggersignal anliegt. Liegt kein12-V-Signal an, schaltet die Endstufe in denStandby-Modus. Diese Funktion kann nurgenutzt werden, wenn der Netzschalter ander Gerätefront vorher eingeschaltet wurde.

• Befindet sich der Kippschalter in derOFF-Position, muß die Endstufe manuellüber den Netzschalter an der Gerätefrontein- und ausgeschaltet werden.

12V Trigger In/Out

An die mit IN gekennzeichnete Buchse kannzur Übertragung eines 12-V-Triggersignals einKabel mit 3,5-mm-Klinkensteckernangeschlossen werden. Um diese Funktionnutzen zu können, müssen Sie den Kippschalter(siehe Abschnitt oben) in die ON-Positionsetzen. Dieser Eingang reagiert auf Gleich-oder Wechselspannungssignale von 3 bis 30Volt.

An die mit OUT gekennzeichnete Buchse kannein weiteres Kabel mit 3,5-mm-Klinkensteckernangeschlossen werden, über das ein 12-V-Triggersignal an andere Komponentenweitergeleitet wird. Das 12-V-Signal steht andiesem Ausgang nur zur Verfügung, wenn ander IN-Buchse ein entsprechendes Signalanliegt.

Schutzschaltung

Die RMB-1075 verfügt über eine thermischeSchutzschaltung. Hierdurch wird die Endstufevor möglichen Schäden durch extreme oderfehlerhafte Betriebsbedingungen geschützt. ImGegensatz zu vielen anderen Konstruktionenist die Schutzschaltung der RMB-1075unabhängig vom Audiosignal und beeinflußtden Klang nicht. Statt dessen überwacht siedie Temperatur an den Leistungstransistorenund schaltet die Endstufe ab, sobald bestimmteTemperaturgrenzen überschritten werden.

Es ist unwahrscheinlich, daß es jemals zu einerÜberlastung kommt. Sollte dennoch eineStörung auftreten, schaltet sich die Endstufeab, und die jeweilige PROTECTION-LED ander Gerätefront beginnt zu leuchten.

Schalten Sie die Endstufe aus und lassen Siesie einige Minuten abkühlen. Versuchen Sie,den Grund für die Störung herauszufinden undzu beheben. Beim erneuten Einschalten derEndstufe setzt sich die Schutzschaltungautomatisch zurück, und die LED erlischt.

In den meisten Fällen wird die Schutzschaltungdurch eine Fehlfunktion, wie z.B. durchkurzgeschlossene Lautsprecherkabel oder eineunzureichende Belüftung, die schließlich zueiner Überhitzung führt, aktiviert. In sehrseltenen Fällen können Lautsprecher mit einerextrem niedrigen Impedanz dieSchutzschaltung aktivieren.

Reagiert die Schutzschaltung immer wieder,ohne daß Sie die Ursache lokalisieren können,setzen Sie sich mit Ihrem autorisierten Rotel-Fachhändler in Verbindung.

EingangssignalanschlüsseDie RMB-1075 verfügt über herkömmlicheCinch-Anschlüsse (wie sie an jedemhochwertigen Audiogerät zu finden sind) undeinen DB25-Eingang.

HINWEIS: Entscheiden Sie sich für einender Eingangssignalanschlüsse (cinch oderDB25). Nutzen Sie niemals beide.HINWEIS: Beim Verkabeln undAnschließen sollte die Endstufe generellabgeschaltet sein.

Verwenden Sie hochwertige Audiokabel.Verbinden Sie die einzelnen Ausgänge amVorverstärker bzw. Signalprozessor mit denentsprechenden Eingängen der RMB-1075.

DB25-Eingang

Neben den Cinch-Eingängen verfügt die RMB-1075 noch über einen DB25-Eingang, der inder Regel nur in professionellen Systemengenutzt wird. Der DB25-Eingang übernimmtdie Funktionen der fünf Cinch-Eingänge.Sollten Sie in bezug auf diesenEingangsanschluß Fragen haben, wenden Siesich bitte an Ihren autorisierten Rotel-Fachhändler.

LautsprecherAuswahl der Lautsprecher

Wir empfehlen, an die RMB-1075Lautsprecher mit einer nominalen Impedanzvon mindestens 4 Ohm anzuschließen. Siesollten beim Betrieb mehrererparallelgeschalteter Lautsprecherpaare einigeVorsicht walten lassen, da sich die effektive,vom Verstärker wahrgenommene Impedanzverringert. Beim Betrieb von zwei Paar 8-Ohm-Lautsprechern beträgt die Last für denVerstärker 4 Ohm. Werden mehrereparallelgeschaltete Lautsprecherangeschlossen, empfehlen wir, Lautsprechermit einer nominalen Impedanz von mindestens8 Ohm einzusetzen. Die Angaben bezüglichder Impedanz von Lautsprechern sind oftungenau. In der Praxis gibt es nur bei sehrwenigen Lautsprechern Probleme beim Betriebmit der RMB-1075. Wenden Sie sich beiFragen bitte an Ihren autorisierten Rotel-Fachhändler.

Auswahl derLautsprecherkabel

Verbinden Sie die RMB-1075 und dieLautsprecher über ein isoliertes, zweiadrigesLautsprecherkabel. Aufbau und Qualität desKabels können hörbare Effekte auf dieMusikwiedergabe haben. Standard-„Klingeldraht“ wird funktionieren, jedochkönnen vor allem bei größeren KabellängenLeistungsverluste und eine ungleichmäßigeWiedergabe des Frequenzspektrums dasErgebnis sein. Allgemein gilt, daß Kabel mitgrößerem Querschnitt eine verbesserteWiedergabequalität gewährleisten. Fürhöchste Wiedergabequalität sollten Sie dieBenutzung von speziellen, hochwertigenLautsprecherkabeln erwägen. Ihr autorisierterRotel-Fachhändler wird Ihnen bei der Auswahldieser Lautsprecherkabel gerne weiterhelfen.

Polarität und Phasenabgleich

Die Polarität – die positive/negativeAusrichtung der Anschlüsse – muß für jedeLautsprecher-/Vers tärker verbindungphasengleich sein. Die Kabel sind zurIdentifizierung gekennzeichnet. So kann dieIsolationsschicht eines Leiters gerippt oder einLeiter mit einem Streifen markiert sein. DasKabel kann verschiedenfarbige Leiter (Kupferund Silber) besitzen und von einertransparenten Isolationsschicht umgeben sein.Bei anderen Kabeln wird die Polaritätsangabeauf die Isolationsschicht gedruckt.Unterscheiden Sie zwischen positiven undnegativen Leitern und achten Sie beimAnschluß an Lautsprecher und Verstärker aufdie gleiche Polung.

Anschließen derLautsprecher

Die RMB-1075 verfügt an der Rückseite überfünf Paar farbig gekennzeichneteSchraubklemmen. An diese können blankeDrähte oder Kabelschuhe angeschlossenwerden.

Die negativen Schraubklemmen sind für alleKanäle schwarz. Die positiven Klemmen fürden rechten Front- und Surround-Lautsprechersind rot, für den linken Front- und Surround-Lautsprecher blau und für den Center-Lautsprecher grün.

Führen Sie das Kabel von der RMB-1075 zuden Lautsprechern. Lassen Sie sich genügendRaum, damit Sie die Komponenten bewegenkönnen und so einen freien Zugang zu denLautsprechern sicherstellen.

Bei der Verwendung von Kabelschuhenverbinden Sie diese mit den Kabeln, steckendie Kabelschuhe hinten unter dieSchraubklemmen und drehen die Klemmenim Uhrzeigersinn fest.

Sollten die Lautsprecherkabel direkt (ohneKabelschuhe) angeschlossen werden, soentfernen Sie an den Kabelenden ca. 15 mmder Isolation. Lösen Sie die Schraubklemmendurch Drehen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn.Verdrillen Sie die blanken Kabelenden, umein Zerfasern zu vermeiden, und stecken Siedas verdrillte Kabel hinter die Klemmen.Anschließend drehen Sie die Schraubklemmenim Uhrzeigersinn fest.

HINWEIS: Achten Sie bitte darauf, daßdie blanken Kabelenden vollständig an denSchraubklemmen untergebracht sind undsomit das Berühren benachbarter Drähteoder Anschlüsse ausgeschlossen ist.

Die Betriebsanzeige leuchtetnicht

Die RMB-1075 bekommt keinen Strom. PrüfenSie, ob der Netzschalter an der Gerätefrontgedrückt wurde. Prüfen Sie die Netzanschlüssean der Endstufe und der Wandsteckdose.

Austauschen der Sicherung

Sind alle Geräte korrekt angeschlossen undkann die Endstufe trotzdem nicht angeschaltetwerden, kann es sein, daß die Sicherung imGeräteinnern durchgebrannt ist. Sind Sie derMeinung, daß dies der Fall ist, so lassen Siedie Sicherung von Ihrem autorisierten Rotel-Fachhändler austauschen.

Kein Ton

Bekommt die RMB-1075 Strom und isttrotzdem kein Ton zu hören, prüfen Sie, obeine der PROTECTION-LEDs an der Frontseiteleuchtet. Falls ja, beachten Sie bitte dieHinweise unten. Falls nicht, prüfen Sie, ob alleGeräte richtig angeschlossen sind und dieEinstellungen an den angeschlossenen Gerätenrichtig vorgenommen wurden.

PROTECTION-LED leuchtet

Wurde die RMB-1075 von der Schutzschaltungabgeschaltet, beginnt die jeweilige PROTEC-TION-LED zu leuchten. Normalerweise passiertdies nur, wenn die Ventilationsöffnungenverdeckt sind, die Lautsprecher nicht richtigangeschlossen wurden oder die Endstufeüberlastet wurde. Schalten Sie das System abund warten Sie, bis die Endstufe sich abgekühlthat. Drücken Sie den Netzschalteranschließend einmal ein und aus, um dieSchutzschaltung zurückzusetzen. Ist dieStörung nicht beseitigt oder tritt sie erneut auf,liegt das Problem im System oder in derEndstufe selber.

a. Il cavo di alimentazione o la spina sono stati danneggiati; o

Nell’RMB-1075 nulla è solo accennato. E’ unpoderoso finale a cinque canali, in grado dierogare una potenza estremamente elevatanelle applicazioni più impegnative. Infatti,quello che potrà limitare i livelli di uscitadell’RMB-1075 sarà spesso la capacità dialimentazione del vostro impianto elettrico.Transistor di potenza discreti, un poderosostadio di alimentazione con trasformatoritoroidali, componenti di qualità superiore eil Balanced Design della Rotel assicurano unaqualità sonora superba. Posizionamento

L’RMB-1075 genera calore durante il suonormale funzionamento. Le alette diraffreddamento e le aperture di ventilazioneposte sull’amplificatore sono progettate perdissipare questo calore. Le fessure diventilazione sulla parte superiore devonoessere libere. Vi dovrebbero essere 10 cm dispazio libero attorno allo chassis e un flussod’aria adeguato per evitare ilsurriscaldamento dell’amplificatore.

Allo stesso modo, ricordate il pesodell’amplificatore quando scegliete un luogoper l’installazione.Assicuratevi che lo scaffaleo il cabinet possano sostenere il notevolevolume. Considerate anche il notevole pesodell’amplificatore quando dovete sollevarlo.Ancora una volta usate il buon senso.

Collegamento alla Rete eControlliIngresso di Alimentazione

A causa della sua elevata potenza, l’RMB-1075 può assorbire una considerevolequantità corrente che potrebbe essereimpegnativa per l’impianto elettrico dellavostra casa. Pertanto, dovrebbe esserecollegato direttamente ad una presa a paretepolarizzata a 3-poli. Non utilizzate unaprolunga. Potete utilizzare una ciabatta dialimentazione multipla, ma solamente se èadatta a gestire la corrente richiesta dall’RMB-1075.

Assicuratevi che l’interruttore diaccensione sul pannello anteriore dell’RMB-1075 sia spento (in posizione esterna). Poi,collegate il cordone di alimentazionesul pannello posteriore dell’unità e alla presadi alimentazione.

Il vostro RMB-1075 è configurato in fabbricaper il voltaggio corretto nel paese in cui loavete acquistato (o 115 volt o 230 volt conuna linea di frequenza o di 50 o di 60 Hz).La configurazione in corrente alternata ècontrassegnata su un’etichettasul pannelloposteriore.

NOTA: Nel caso doveste trasferire lavostra unità in un altro paese, potrebbeessere possibile configurare di nuovo perun utilizzo su un voltaggio differente. Noncercate di effettuare questa conversione dasoli. L’apertura dell’RMB-1075 vi espone avoltaggi pericolosi. Consultate personalequalificato o il reparto di assistenza dellafabbrica Rotel per le informazioninecessarie.

Nel caso doveste assentarvi da casa per unperiodo prolungato di tempo come unavacanza di un mese, è precauzioneragionevole quella di scollegare il vostroamplificatore mentre siete assenti.

Interruttore di Alimentazione e Spia di Accensione

L’interruttore di accensione è collocato al centrodel pannello anteriore del vostroamplificatore. Per attivare l’unità premeteall’interno l’interruttore. Il LED sopral’interruttore si illuminerà indicando così chel’unità è attiva. Per spegnere l’RMB-1075,premete nuovamente il pulsante e riportateloin posizione esterna.

Selettore di modalità a scattoON/OFF

L’amplificatore offre l’opzione perl’accensione/spegnimento dell’ alimentazioneautomatica o manuale. Queste modalità sonoselezionabili utilizzando un interruttore abilanciere sul pannello posteriore.

Con l’interruttore in posizione ON del TRIG-GER da +12V, l’amplificatore viene attivatoautomaticamente quando è presente unsegnale trigger da 12V al jack da 3.5 mmdel TRIGGER IN sul pannello posteriore.L’amplificatore si porrà in modalità di standbyse non è presente il segnale da 12V.L’interruttore di alimentazione sul pannelloanteriore bypassa questa funzione. Deveessere su ON perché l’interruttore trigger da+12V funzioni. Ponendo l’interruttore su OFFsi toglie l’alimentazione all’amplificatore,indipendentemente dal fatto che un segnaletrigger sia presente o no.

Ingresso e uscita del triggerda +12V

Il jack contrassegnato con IN è predispostoper il collegamento del cavo/spina da 3.5 mmche trasporta il segnale trigger da 12V al finedi attivare e disattivare l’amplificatore. Per fareuso di questa caratteristica l’interruttore abilanciere deve essere posto in posizione ON.Questo ingresso accetta qualsiasi segnale dicomando (AC o DC) che va da 3 volt a 30volt.

Il jack contrassegnato con OUT è previsto peril collegamento di un cavo/spina da 3.5 mmper fornire un segnale a scatto da 12V aglialtri componenti. Il segnale da 12V in uscitaè disponibile ogni qualvolta un segnale triggerda +12Vviene applicato al connettore IN.

Circuito di Protezione

L’RMB-1075 è dotato di un circuito diprotezione termico che proteggel’amplificatore da eventuali danni derivantida condizioni operative estreme. A differenzadi altri apparecchi, il circuito di protezionedell’RMB-1075 è indipendente dal segnaleaudio e non ha nessuna influenza sulle per-formance sonore. Invece, il circuito diprotezione controlla la temperatura dei finalie spegne l’amplificatore se la temperaturasupera i limiti di sicurezza.

Molto probabilmente, non vedrete mai questocircuito di protezione in azione. Tuttavia sesi dovessero verificare le condizioni,l’amplificatore fermerà la riproduzionee l’indicatore LED sul pannello anterioresi accenderà.

Se questo accade, spegnete l’amplificatore,lasciatelo raffreddare per alcuni minuti,cercate di identificare e risolvere il problemache ha causato l’intervento del circuito.Quando accenderete nuovamentel’amplificatore, il circuito di protezione siazzererà automaticamente e l’indicatore LEDsi spegnerà.

Nella maggior parte dei casi il circuito si attivaa causa di condizioni critiche come il cortocircuito dei cavi dei diffusori o scarsaventilazione che portano a situazioni disurriscaldamento. In casi molto rari carichidi diffusori ad impedenza molto bassa o moltoreattivi provocano l’intervento del circuito.

Se il circuito di protezione si attivaripetutamente e non siete in grado di isolaree risolvere il problema, contattate il vostrorivenditore Rotel per l’assistenza nella ricercadel guasto.

Collegamenti del Segnalein Ingresso (Vedere Figura 2 per l’illustrazione deicollegamenti)

L’RMB-1075 vi offre la scelta di due diversitipi di collegamenti d’ingresso - connessionidi ingresso convenzionali del tipo RCA (tipichedi quasi tutti i componenti hi-fi) o connessionidel tipo XLR bilanciate per un utilizzo con alcunipreamplificatori hi-end o processori digitaliche hanno questa connessione per un bassodisturbo.

Nota: Non collegate gli ingressi sia a gliingressi RCA sia a quelli DB25 (Vedere ilparagrafo successivo.) Utilizzate o gli uni ogli altri.Nota: Per evitare forti rumori che nonapprezzereste nè voi e nè i vostri diffusori,assicuratevi che l’amplificatore sia spentoquando effettuate qualsiasi collegamentodi segnale.

Ingresso Connettore DB25

L’RMB-1075 è inoltre dotato di un ingressoDB25. Questo ingresso è generalmenteutilizzato solo in installazioni professionali diimpianti particolari. L’ingresso DB25 duplicala funzione dei cinque ingressi RCA. Perinformazioni relative all’utilizzo di questoingresso, rivolgetevi al più vicino centro diassistenza Rotel.

Collegamento dei DiffusoriSelezione dei Diffusori

Vi raccomandiamo di utilizzare diffusori conun’impedenza minima nominale di 4 ohm opiù alta con l’RMB-1075. Dovreste avere moltacautela nel pilotare coppie multiple di diffusoriin parallelo, perchè l’impedenza effettiva chel’amplificatore vede si dimezza. Per esempio,quando si pilotano due coppie di diffusori da8 ohm, l’amplificatore vede un carico da 4ohm. Quando si pilotano diffusori multipli inparallelo vi raccomandiamo di sceglierediffusori con un’impedenza di 8 ohm o piùalta. I dati di impedenza di un diffusore nonsono molto precisi. In pratica pochissimidiffusori presenteranno problemi per l’RMB-1075. Se avete alcuni dubbi chiedete pureconsiglio al vostro rivenditore Rotel.

Selezione dei Cavi del Diffusore

Utilizzate cavi a due conduttori isolati percollegare l’RMB-1075 ai diffusori. Ledimensioni e la qualità dei cavi possono avereeffetti udibili sulle performance del sistema.I cavi standard vanno bene ma possono dareun’uscita più bassa o una risposta limitatain gamma bassa, in particolare se sono moltolunghi. In generale cavi ben dimensionatimiglioreranno la resa sonora. Per ottenere lemigliori prestazioni, potete prendere inconsiderazioni cavi speciali di alta qualità.Il vostro rivenditore Rotel vi potrà aiutare nellascelta.

Polarita’ e Fase

La polarità - l’orientamento positivo/negativodei collegamenti - per il collegamento di ognidiffusore e amplificatore deve essere conformeaffinché tutti i diffusori siano in fase. Se lapolarità di un collegamento è accidentalmenteinvertita, il basso sarà debole e l’immaginestereo scadente. Tutti i cavi sono segnatiaffinché si possano identificare i dueconduttori. Vi possono essere scanalature ouna striscia sull’isolante di un conduttore. Ilcavo può avere un’isolante trasparente conconduttori di colori diversi (rame e argento).Indicazioni sulla polarità possono esserestampate sull’isolante. Identificare i conduttoripositivo e negativo e che siano corretti con icollegamenti tra l’amplificatore e i diffusori.

Collegamento dei Diffusori

L’ RMB-1075 ha cinque coppie di connettoricolorati sul pannello posteriore. Questiconnettori accettano cavi spellati, forcelle, odoppi connettori a banana ( ad eccezione deipaesi della Comunità Europea dove non sonoconsentiti)

I connettori negativi per tutti i canali sono neri.Quelli positivi per l’anteriore destro e per idiffusori surround sono rossi. I connettoripositivi per l’anteriore sinistro e i diffusorisurround sono blu. Il connettore positivo peril diffusore centrale è verde.

Portare il cavo dall’RMB-1075 ai diffusori.Lasciatelo lento in modo da poter muovere icomponenti abbastanza da consentirel’accesso ai connettori dei diffusori.

Se utilizzate i doppi connettori a banana,collegateli ai cavi ed inseriteli nella parteposteriore dei connettori dell’amplificatore.I cappellotti esagonali dei connettoridovrebbero essere avvitati in tutti i casi (insenso orario).

Se state utilizzando connettori a forcella,collegateli ai cavi. Se state collegando cavispellati direttamente ai connettori, separatei conduttori dei cavi e strappate indietrol’isolante dall’estemità di ogni conduttore. Fateattenzione a non tagliare l’intreccio dei fili.Svitate (in senso antiorario)i cappellottiesagonali dei connettori. Posizionate la forcellaattorno al perno del connettore o inserite ilfilo avvolto nel foro del perno. Avvitate gli anelliin senso orario per serrare la forcella o il filo.

NOTA: Assicuratevi che non vi siano filisparsi che potrebbero toccare i cavi o iconnettori adiacenti.

Ricerca dei GuastiNei sistemi audio molti problemi derivano dacollegamenti sbagliati o inadeguateregolazioni dei controlli. Se vi si pone unproblema, isolate l’area critica verificate icomandi, determinate la causa del problemae operate i necessari cambiamenti. Se nonsiete in grado di far suonare l’RMB-1075 fateriferimento ai suggerimenti per le condizioniche seguono:

La spia di accensione sulpannello anteriore non siillumina

Non arriva corrente all’RMB-1075. Controllateil pulsante di accensione sul pannello anteriore.Assicuratevi che sia in posizione di accensione.Controllate i collegamenti alla retesull’amplificatore e sulla presa dialimentazione (CA)

Sostituzione del fusibile

Se avete controllato tutto correttamente e nonriuscite ancora ad accendere l’amplificatoreverificate che il fusibile non sia bruciato. Seritenete ciò possibile contattate il vostro rivenditoreautporizzato Rotel per sapere dove portarel’amplificatore per fare sostituire il fusibile.

Nessun Suono

Se l’amplificatore riceve l’alimentazione dallarete ma non produce nessun suono, controllatel’indicatore del circuito di protezione sulpannello frontale. Se è accesa guardate ilparagrafo sotto. Se non è accesa controllatetutti i vostri collegamenti e il settaggio deicontrolli sugli altri componenti degli impianti

L’indicatore di protezione e’acceso

L’indicatore sul pannello anteriore si accendequando il circuito di protezione dell’RMB-1075ha spento l’amplificatore. Generalmentequesto accade solo quando le aperture diventilazione sono ostruite, quando c’è uncablaggio difettoso del diffusore, o dopo unperiodo di utilizzo intenso. Spegnete l’impiantoe aspettate che l’amplifiatore si raffreddi.Premete dentro e fuori l’interruttore diaccensione sul pannello anteriore per resettarei dispositivi di protezione. Se il problema nonsi risolve o si ripresenta, c’è un difetto nelsistema o nello stesso amplificatore.

Limpie el exterior del aparato únicamente con una gamuzaseca o un aspirador.

Debe dejar un mínimo de 10 centímetros de espacio librealrededor del aparato. No coloque nunca la RMB-1075 en unacama, un sofá, una alfombra o una superficie similar susceptiblede bloquear las ranuras de ventilación. Si el aparato estáubicado en la estantería de una librería o un mueble, debehaber suficiente espacio a su alrededor y ventilación en elmueble para permitir una refrigeración adecuada.

Mantenga al aparato alejado de radiadores, estufas, cocinaso de cualquier otra instalación que produzca calor.

El aparato debe ser conectado únicamente a una fuente dealimentación del tipo y la tensión especificados en su panelposterior.

Conecte el aparato a una toma de corriente eléctrica únicamentea través del cable de alimentación de dos clavijas polarizadosuministrado de serie o un equivalente exacto del mismo. Nomodifique de ningún modo dicho cable. No intente desactivarlos terminales destinados a la conexión a tierra o polarización.El cable debería ser conectado a una toma de corriente eléctricade dos terminales que se adapten perfectamente a las clavijasdel cable de alimentación del aparato. No utilice ningún tipode cable de extensión.

No coloque el cable de alimentación en lugares en que puedaser aplastado, pinchado, doblado en ángulos críticos, expuestoal calor o dañado de algún modo. Preste particular atenciónal punto de unión entre el cable y la toma de corriente y tambiéna la ubicación de esta última en el panel posterior del aparato.

El cable de alimentación debería desconectarse de la redeléctrica cuando el aparato no vaya a ser utilizado duranteun largo período de tiempo (por ejemplo las vacaciones deverano).

Desconecte inmediatamente el aparato y envíelo a un serviciotécnico cualificado para su inspección/reparación si:

• El cable de alimentación o alguna clavija del mismo hasido dañado.

• Han caído objetos o se ha derramado líquido en el inte-rior del aparato.

• El aparato ha sido expuesto a la lluvia.

• El aparato muestra signos de funcionamiento inadecuado.

• El aparato ha sido golpeado o dañado de algún modo.

Coloque el aparato sobre unasuperficie fija y equilibrada que seasuficientemente resistente parasoportar su peso. No coloque nuncael aparato en una carretilla móvilde la que pueda volcar.

Colocación

Conmutador e IndicadorLuminoso de Puestaen Marcha

Selector de Modo para Señalde Disparo Externa

El amplificador incorpora la opción de puestaen marcha/desconexión manual o automática.Estos modos pueden seleccionarse con ayudade un pequeño interruptor situado en el panelposterior.

Con el conmutador situado en la posición+12V TRIGGER ON, el amplificador se pondráen marcha automáticamente en cuanto detecteuna señal de disparo de 12 voltios en la tomade 3’5 mm TRIGGER IN situada en su panelposterior. En caso de que dicha señal no estépresente, el amplificador se situará en laposición de espera. El CONMUTADORPOWER del panel frontal permite ignorar estafunción. Circuitería de Protección

Polaridad y Puesta en Fase

La polaridad, es decir la orientación positiva/negativa de las conexiones correspondientesa cada caja acústica. y a la unión con elamplificador deben ser coherentes, de modoque todas las cajas acústicas del sistema esténen fase. Si la polaridad de una conexión esinvertida por error, se producirá una fuertecaída de la respuesta en graves, así como unadegradación perceptible de la imagenestereofónica global. Todos los cables estánmarcados de manera que usted puedaidentificar fácilmente los dos conductores.Puede haber marcas o líneas impresas en elrevestimiento aislante de un conductor. El cabletambién puede presentar un claro aislamientoal incorporar conductores de distintos colores(cobre y plata). También puede haberindicaciones de polaridad impresas en elrevestimiento aislante. Conexión de las CajasAcústicas

La RMB-1075 incorpora cinco pares determinales de conexión debidamentecodificados (por colores) en su panel poste-rior. Estos terminales de conexión aceptancable pelado, conectores de tipo horquilla oconectores de tipo banana doble (excepto enlos países de la Comunidad Europea, dondesu uso no está permitido).

Wat u gehoord heeft over de RMB-1075 isniet overdreven. Het is een kanjer van eenvijfkanalige eindtrap en tot onwaarschijnlijkeprestaties instaat onder de meest moeilijkeomstandigheden. In feite is de stroom-voorziening van het lichtnet de beperkendefactor voor het uitgangsvermogen van de RMB-1075. Discrete onderdelen in de uitgangen,een zwaar overbemeten voedingshuishoudingmet twee ringkerntransformatoren, eerste klasonderdelen dit alles gecombineerd met Rotels’“Balanced Design” concept, staan garant vooreen superbe weergave kwaliteit. Door hetvermogen zeer hoge stroom te kunnen leveren,kunnen de meest moeilijke luidsprekers wordenaangesloten

Wees ervan doordrongen dat de RMB-1075heel veel vermogen kan leveren: meer dan 100watts per kanaal aan 8Ω. Overtuig u van hetfeit of uw luidsprekers bij uw manier vangebruik van deze versterker tegen ditvermogen zijn opgewassen. Twijfelt u, neemdan contact op met uw leverancier.

De RMB-1075 is heel gemakkelijk te installerenen te bedienen, helemaal als u al ervaringheeft met andere eindversterkers. Schafkwaliteits aansluitkabels aan, verbindt middelsdeze kabels de RMB-1075 met uwvoorversterker of surround-processor, sluit uwluidsprekers aan en geniet.

Heeft uw voorversterker of surround-proces-sor de mogelijkheid om de eindversterkersymmetrisch aan te sluiten dan kan dat metde RMB-1075.

Een paarvoorzorgsmaatregelen

Leest u vooral goed de gebruiksaanwijzing.Er staat behalve over het installeren en debediening, belangrijke informatie in over deverschillende manieren waarop u de RMB-1075 in uw installatie kan inpassen alsmedealgemene richtlijnen om het maximale uit uwaudio-installatie te halen. Mocht u, ondanksonze pogingen om het u zo duidelijk mogelijkte maken, toch nog vragen hebben aarzel danniet om met uw Rotel dealer contact op tenemen hij heeft vast en zeker de antwoorden.

Bewaar als het even kan de verpakking. Altijdhandig bij een eventuele verhuizing ofwanneer het apparaat opgestuurd moetworden voor reparatie, want er is geen beterebescherming tijdens transport dan zijn eigendoos.

Wanneer u van de ongelofelijk lange garantievan 5 jaar wilt genieten moet u wel even uwgarantiebewijs invullen, door uw dealer latenafstempelen, een deel opsturen naar deimporteur en uw deel goed bewaren bij denota van uw leverancier.

Een plek voor de RMB-1075

Doordat de RMB-1075 nogal een krachtpatseris, kan hij behoorlijk warm worden. Dekoelribben en de ventilatie-openingen zijn erechter voor om deze hitte adequaat af teafvoeren. Die ventilatie-openingen aan debovenkant moeten vrij zijn en de hele versterkermoet een ruimte van ongeveer 10cm. om zichheen hebben. Alleen onder dezeomstandigheden kan de koeling goed zijnwerk doen.

Gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer u eenplek zoekt voor de RMB-1075. Controleer ofde plank waarop of het meubel waarin u hemzet zijn enorme gewicht (18 kg.) wel kantorsen.

Over THX Ultra™

THX is een combinatie van regels entechnologieën die vastgesteld is door dewereldberoemde filmproductiemaatschappijLucasfilm Ltd. THX is ontstaan door GeorgeLucas persoonlijke wens het geluid bij filmsin zowel theater als thuis zo over te latenkomen, als de regisseur dat bij het maken vaneen bepaalde film bedoeld heeft.

De geluidssporen van een film worden inspeciale theaters en op een speciale wijzegemixed. Het is de bedoeling dat ze later bijvertoning van die film onder dezelfdeomstandigheden en met dezelfde apparatuurweer worden weergegeven. Bij het overzettenvan films op laserdisc, videotape of DVDworden de z.g. “sound-tracks” zonder enigeverandering gekopieerd, dus niet aangepastvoor gebruik onder huiskameromstandigheden.THX technici hebben nu speciale(gepatenteerde) technologieën ontwikkeld omhet geluid zo aan te passen dat u thuis diezelfdegeweldige geluidservaring krijgt, alsof u in debioscoop zit.

Elk nieuw theaterthuiscomponent moet om THXgecertificeerd te worden eerst door een zeerzware serie van kwaliteits- en prestatietests.Pas na het behalen van dit examen mag het“THX Ultra” logo gedragen worden, wat vooru de garantie is dat een bepaaldtheaterthuiscomponent u vele jaren optimaalluisterplezier zal bieden.

Het aansluiten op hetlichtnet en de bedieningDe lichtnetaansluiting

Door het enorme vermogen dat de RMB-1075kan leveren, zijn er momenten dat hij erg veelvermogen uit het lichtnet opeist. Het is daaromhet beste de steker van de RMB-1075 directin het lichtnet te steken zonder tussenkomstvan verlengsnoeren. Een multi stekkerdoosmag alleen gebruikt worden als hij geschiktis voor de totale stroomafname van alleapparaten die erop worden aangesloten.

Zorg dat de versterker uitgeschakeld staatwanneer u het bijgeleverde netsnoer opde versterker en op het lichtnet aansluit.

Uw RMB-1075 is ingesteld op het lichtnet-voltage van het land waarin hij gekocht is.In uw geval dus 230/240 volts. U kunt hetingestelde voltage controleren op de achterkantvan het apparaat.

Extra informatie: Mocht u ooit moetenverhuizen naar een land met een andervoltage, dan is de versterker op dat anderevoltage in te stellen. Doe deze operatieNIET zelf, maar laat hem verrichten dooruw Rotel leverancier. Deze handelingenzijn voor een niet ingewijde niet vangevaar ontbloot.

Als u van plan bent om langdurig van huiste zijn, adviseren wij u uw gehele beeld engeluidsinstallatie (dus ook de RMB-1075) vanhet lichtnet te ontkoppelen.

De aan/uitschakelaar metbijbehorende indicator

De aan/uitschakelaar vindt u midden op devoorkant van de versterker onder de aanduiding“POWER”. Wanneer u de RMB-1075 aan wiltzetten drukt u deze schakelaar in. Het lampjeboven deze schakelaar gaat nu aan ten tekendat de versterker aan staat. Wanneer u nunogmaals de schakelaar indrukt begrijpt uwaarschijnlijk wat er gebeurt: uit dus.

De “TRIGGER” aan/uitschakelaar

De RMB-1075 heeft de mogelijkheid al danniet automatische aan- en uitgezet te kunnenworden. De voorziening vindt u op deachterkant van de versterker.

Met de triggerschakelaar in de aan (ON)positie wordt de versterker automatischaangeschakeld wanneer er een 12 volt signaalverschijnt op de 3.5mm. “TRIGGER IN” ingangook op de achterkant. De versterker gaatautomatisch uit (STAND-BY) wanneer het 12volt signaal wegvalt. Deze functie werkt alleenwanneer de aan/uitschakelaar “POWER” opde voorkant is ingeschakeld.

De 12V. trigger in-en uitgang

De plug genaamd “IN” is bedoeld om een3.5mm. plug in te steken welke een geschakeld12volt signaal kan afleveren om de versterkeraan of uit te kunnen zetten. Om deze functie tekunnen gebruiken moet de wipschakelaar op“ON” staan. De functie werkt op ieder signaalgelijk- of wisselspanning tussen de 3 en 30 volts.

De plug genaamd “OUT” is bedoeld omverbonden te worden met een ander apparaatwelke aan- of uitgeschakeld moet worden meteen +12V. signaal. Er staat een signaal opdeze uitgang zodra op de ingang “IN” een+12V. signaal aanwezig is.

De beveiligingsindicatoren

De RMB-1075 is uitgerust met een thermischebeveiliging, welke de versterker behoedt voorschade veroorzaakt door foutief of extreemgebruik. Niet zoals bij vele andere versterkers,werkt dit beveiligingscircuit onafhankelijk vanhet audiosignaal dus heeft het geen invloedop de geluidsweergave. De beveiliging houdtcontinu de temperatuur in de gaten en schakeltde versterker uit wanneer deze te heet wordt.

Hoogst waarschijnlijk ziet u dit circuit nooitin werking treden. Mocht dit echter tochgebeuren, dan stopt de versterker met hetproduceren van geluid en de indicator bij“PROTECTION” gaat/n branden.

Gebeurt dit, schakel de versterker dan uit, laathem gedurende enkele minuten afkoelen enprobeer er ondertussen achter te komen watde oorzaak van het probleem zou kunnen zijngeweest. Wanneer u nu de versterker weeraan zet, zal het beveiligingscircuit zichzelfherstellen en gaat de indicator weer uit.

In de meeste gevallen wordt hetbeveiligingscircuit geactiveerd door eenfoutieve aansluiting b.v. kortsluiting van deluidspreker-bedrading of slechte ventilatie bijeen oververhitte situatie. Slechts inuitzonderlijke gevallen zal de impedantie(extreem laag) of de Inductie (zeer hoog) vaneen luidspreker de oorzaak zijn van hetingrijpen van het beveiligingscircuit.

Mocht het beveiligingscircuit regelmatigaangesproken worden zonder dat u deoorzaak kunt traceren, dan heeft u eenprobleem en moet u even bij uw Rotelleverancier langsgaan om raad.

Het aansluiten van deingangen (zie ook figuur 2)

De RMB-1075 wordt net als vrijwel alle andereaudio apparatuur middels de bekende “cinch”pluggen aangesloten.

Extra informatie: Gebruik of de cinchingangen of de DB-25 aansluiting. Nietbeide!!Extra informatie: Het is zeer verstandigvoor uw gehoor en luidsprekers dat wanneeru signaalverbindingen maakt van welke aarddan ook, uw apparatuur UIT staat.

Gebruik indien mogelijk hoogwaardigeverbindingskabels. Verbindt alle uitgangen vande surround-voorversterker of processor metde corresponderende cinch ingangen van deRB-1075. Controleer of u het goed gedaanheeft.

De DB-25 ingang

We hebben de RB-1075 eveneens uitgerustmet de professionele DB-25 connectie. Dezeplug dupliceert de 5 ongebalanceerdeingangen van de RB-1075 en wij adviserenindien mogelijk deze ingang voor hetaansluiten met uw voorversterker te gebruiken.Raadpleeg uw Rotel adviseur over het tegebruiken contactmateriaal.

LuidsprekersDe luidsprekerkeuze

Wij raden u aan om bij de RMB-1075luidsprekers te gebruiken die minstens eennominale impedantie hebben van 4Ω. Wijadviseren u slechts één luidspreker op iederstel uitgangen aan te sluiten. Daar bij paral-lel-schakeling de totale weerstand kleiner isdan de laagst gebruikte weerstand en denominale impedantie nooit de weerstand overhet gehele frequentiespectrum voorstelt, moetu bij gebruik van meerdere luidsprekers ervoorzorgen dat de totale impedantie van deonderlinge luidsprekers nooit onder de 4Ωkomt. Dat komt er in de praktijk op neer datwanneer u twee luidsprekers per uitgangaansluit de weerstand onderling niet lager dan8Ω mag zijn. Met deze regel in acht genomenzal u weinig problemen hebben met wat voorluidspreker dan ook. Mocht u toch nog vragenhebben over dit onderwerp, dan weet u uwhandelaar te vinden.

Luidsprekerkabelkeuze

Om de volle potentie van deze versterker tebenutten adviseren wij u hoge kwaliteitsluidsprekerkabel te gebruiken. Standaardtwee-aderig draad werkt wel, maar, en u kunthet geloven of niet, de kwaliteit van de kabelis echt van grote invloed op de totale prestatiesvan uw installatie. Informeer eens bij uw Rotelleverancier over de diverse mogelijkheden vooruw installatie.

Alles in fase

Het is niet alleen belangrijk dat u deluidsprekers met de juiste kanalen verbindt,(hiermee bedoelen wij links aan links en rechtsaan rechts enz.), maar ook dat u ze correctaansluit t.o.v. het signaal. Kortom, wat tedoen? Zorg ervoor dat de + (rood) van despeaker aan de + van de versterker isaangesloten en dus de — (zwart) van despeaker aan de — van de versterker. Goedeluidsprekerkabel, zoals in het vorigeonderwerp besproken, is, om het ugemakkelijk te maken, meestal gemerktdoordat een tekst op een van de twee adersis afgedrukt of inderdaad een van de tweegeleiders gemerkt is met een kleur. Als u dietekst of kleur op beide/alle kanalen als plusaanhoudt dan weet u dat u het goed gedaanheeft. Controle is dan ook niet meernoodzakelijk.

Het aansluiten van deluidsprekers

Op de achterkant heeft de RMB-1075 vijf setsluidsprekeruitgangen. U kunt daar dekaalgestripte luidsprekerkabel direct door hetdwarsgat steken en de draaipluggenaandraaien, achter de draaiknoppen klemmenvia de bekende vorkjes of (indirect) metbanaanpluggen, hoewel dat eigenlijk binnende Europese gemeenschap niet mag. Overtuiguzelf of u de juiste luidspreker op de juisteuitgang aansluit.

Gebruik genoeg kabel om eventueel bijcalamiteiten de luidspreker of de versterkerweg te kunnen schuiven.

Als u tegen alle community-regels in tochbanaanpluggen wilt gebruiken, dan moet ude draaipluggen wel helemaal indraaien.

Als u aansluitvorkjes gebruikt, moet u dezeachter de draaipluggen vastklemmen. Bij hetgebruik van blank gemaakte kabel moet u ergoed op letten dat u bij het strippen geen deelvan het draad zelf afstript. Draai vervolgensde luidsprekeraansluitingen los, stop degestripte draad door de dwarsgaten en draaide pluggen weer aan

Extra informatie: Kijk goed of u bij hetaansluiten geen sluiting maakt. Lossedraadjes van de ene aansluiting kunnennog wel eens de neiging hebben die vande andere aansluiting op te zoeken en deversterker vindt dat niet leuk.

Wat te doen bij problemen?De meeste problemen in geluidsinstallatiesontstaan door slechte aansluitingen of hetverkeerd gebruik van de knoppen en toetsen.Als u problemen tegenkomt, probeer ze dante lokaliseren: check eerst debedieningsorganen en maak eventueel dejuiste correcties. Komt u er dan nog niet uit,probeer dan de onderstaande suggesties:

De lichtnet-indicator werkt niet

Het is duidelijk: uw RMB-1075 ziet het lichtnetniet. Controleer of de aan/uitschakelaar“POWER” wel ingedrukt is en controleer tevensof de lichtnetkabel zowel op de versterker alsop de wandcontactdoos goed en stevig isaangesloten. Controleer b.v. met eenschemerlamp of er wel spanning op dewandcontactdoos staat.

Het vervangen van dezekering

Ontdekt u met de schemerlampproef dat erwel degelijk spanning staat op de door ugebruikte wandcontactdoos en de lichtnet-indicator doet het nog steeds niet, dan konde interne zekering van de RMB-1075 wel eenster ziele zijn. Neem in dat geval contact opmet uw handelaar, hij kan dat klusje zo vooru klaren.

Hij geeft geen geluid

De lichtnetindicator brandt wel, maar jammergenoeg weinig welluidende klanken.Controleer eerst of de beveiligingsindicatorenbranden. Is dat inderdaad het geval, handeldan als onderstaand. Zo niet, check dan alleverbindingen en of de toetsen en knoppen vande voorafgaande apparatuur wel juist zijningesteld. Controleer ook of de ingangskeuze-schakelaar (6) is ingesteld op de juistesignaaloverdrachtwijze.

De beveiligingsindicator lichtop

Als een of alle beveiligingsindicatorenoplichten is er iets loos. Er zijn nu driemogelijkheden: de ventilatiegaten bovenop deversterker worden geblokkeerd, er heerstkortsluiting bij de luidsprekeruitgangen of eris een tijdje lang extreem met de RMB-1075te keer gegaan. Zet de versterker eerst uit,check dan de eerste twee mogelijkheden. Dederde mogelijkheid weet u zelf het best. Wachteen paar minuten om de RMB-1075 degelegenheid te geven af te koelen. Zet deversterker weer aan. Nu moet het probleemzijn opgelost. Doet ‘ie het nu nog niet, dan ishet tijd om contact met uw niet aflatendeleverancier op te nemen.
