Highlights

Features

The high performance RK & RT series butterfl y valves are designed to

provide bidirectional seal as standard for #150 and #300 classes with

preferential fl ow direction.

> Double eccentric disc

> Monoblock body

Wafer, Lug and Flanged confi gurations are

designed and casted in monoblock body to

ensure maximum safety and reliability.

Extended neck that eases access to the

stem packing system by a housing for the

packing gland. The top fl ange allows direct

coupling of actuators without the need of

supports and eliminating the possibility of

gaps between them.

Semi-lug casted in the outer diameter of the

Wafer type end, facilitates the installation and

alignment between fl anges.

RK & RT Series feature a travel stop fused to

the body, so that, after precise machining,

it guarantees perfect closure of the disc and

alignment with the seat.

> Disc

The disc provides low head loss in the fully

open position and low drive torque as a

function of its eccentricity.

The fi rst eccentric axis is characterized by

the transverse displacement of the center

of rotation of the disc with the center of the

body. Its confi guration allows fl uid passage

through a small opening angle of the disc.

The disc edge is polished around its

perimeter, ensuring a better seating and total

sealing with the seat.

> Upper and lower stem

The upper and lower stems are fi xed to

the disc by torque plugs to ensure the

performance and safety of the product.

The dimensions of the upper end of the stem

allow installation in actuators according to

DIN 3337.

> Seat

RK & RT designs allow a perfect seat-to-

disc contact in order to minimize the eff ects

of the friction and, together with the double

eccentricity of the disc, contribute to the

reduction of the drive torque and premature

wear.

For both metallic and soft seats, a metal ring

is used to fi x them to the body. Thus, it is

necessary to use gaskets between the body

and the pipe fl ange.

Variety of materials and versatile design

allow the RK series to operate in several

applications and needs.

> Bushing

Provides the perfect alignment between the

disc and the seat, reducing wear on critical

components and improving valve effi ciency

in operation.

> Gasket

Standardized element which facilitates its

interchangeability, improving the effi ciency of

the seal assembly.

> Packing gland

Assembled in the upside-down position, it allows easy adjustment

and uniform compression of the packing. It does not interfere with

actuator assembly directly on the valve top fl ange and provides the

blowout-proof feature to the upper stem.

> Disc adjustment

Equipped with a fi ne adjustment of the disc by a screw and a locating

nut, it allows an accurate alignment of the disc providing perfect

seating and consequently better sealing effi ciency.
