Movilla Road / Rivenwood Boulevard
Systra Ltd has undertaken a capacity assessment of the proposed signal
controlled access junction to the development from Movilla Road. This is to
ensure that the traffic generated by Phase 1 (100 units) and Phase 2 (204 units)
can be accommodated by the proposed junction design. The assessment has
been undertaken using the industry-standard software package, “LinSig 3”.
The table below provides the results of our modelling exercise. The results
include the Degree of Saturation (DoS) and Mean Maximum Queue (MMQ) for
each lane while the overall Practical Reserve Capacity (PRC) and junction delay
are provided. A DoS of less than 90% indicates that the lane will operate within
practical capacity while a positive PRC indicates that the junction as a whole will
operate within capacity.

The results presented in the table above demonstrate that the proposed signal
controlled access junction to the development from Movilla Road will operate
well within capacity during both the weekday AM and PM peak period with
ample Practical Reserve Capacity.
