ADDENDUM NUMBER 1 DATE: February 25, 2015 PROJECT: Campus Smart Meters MSU Bozeman PPA No: 14-0058 BID DATE: March 5, 2015, 2:00 pm Montana State University Facilities Planning, Design and Construction Plew Building, 6th & Grant PO Box 172760 Bozeman, MT 59717-2760 Bidders for the above project are hereby informed that the drawings and/or specifications are modified, corrected, or supplemented as follows: GENERAL:

1. On Site Construction meetings were discussed at the Pre-Bid Meeting. It is anticipated that there will be a Construction meeting approximately every two weeks during the main construction period.

2. The Square-D Metering contact for this project is Richard Utrup (303)-968-7755 3. The drywall joint compound (mud) in Cobleigh Hall contains asbestos. All wall

penetrations in Cobleigh Hall shall be coordinated with MSU prior to beginning construction. MSU will be responsible for the asbestos abatement.

4. Cobleigh Hall Pipe Insulation. Refer to the attached photos for Cobleigh Hall pipe insulation. Provide new pipe insulation at bare condensate piping, valves, and fittings for new and existing piping around the meter and meter bypass.

5. The City of Bozeman WILL require a Building Permit for this project. AMENDMENTS TO THE DRAWINGS:

1. Cover Sheet – The following note is printed on the Cover Sheet: “Drawings to Scale when printed at 24 x 36”. This note is incorrect, the drawings are to scale when printed at 11”x17”.

2. Sheet E1.1 – Plant Growth Center. The Network Hub shown on the plans is located in the second floor mechanical room 217.

3. Sheet E1.5 – Chemistry Building. The 120 VAC power supply to the new condensate meter remote electronics unit is shown on the plan sheet, but the power source is not identified. Route this circuit to the existing 120V panel in the same room as the meter, on the west wall, approximately 30 feet from the meter. Use spare 20A/1P breaker in the panel to feed the meter.

4. Sheet E1.6 – Renne Library. In the west electrical room, a box of fire sprinkler parts is mounted to the wall in the desired location for the new electrical meter. Relocate the box to the west wall, so the new electrical meter can be installed in this location.

5. Sheet E1.7 – Cobleigh Hall. The 120 VAC power supply to the new condensate meter remote electronics unit is shown on the plan sheet, but the power source is not identified. Route this circuit to the existing 120V panel in the same room as the meter, on the west wall, approximately 15 feet from the meter. Use spare 20A/1P breaker in the panel to feed the meter.

6. Sheet E3.2 – Meter Schedule. Add a UPS for the Chemistry North Wing Meter (EM-CHEM N WING). The UPS shall be factory installed and factory circuited in the meter enclosure. The UPS VA rating shall be sized based on Square-D recommendations and requirements for the total load supplied, and the application. The size of the meter enclosure shall be increased as required for the internal UPS. Venting shall be provided for the meter enclosure as required for the internal UPS. The UPS shall maintain uninterrupted power to the meter electronics during power disturbances, to allow the meter to continuously record during a power disturbance.

7. Sheet E3.2 – Meter Schedule. Add a UPS for the Chemistry West Wing Meter and the Chemistry Equipment Meter (EM-CHEM W WING, and EM-CHEM EQUIP). Both of these meters are in a single enclosure, so only one UPS is required to serve the two meters.

8. Sheet M2.1 – Refer to detail 6/M2.1: The wiring from the junction box to the remote amplifier is to be installed exposed, not in conduit, per the Manufacturer’s instructions.

AMENDMENTS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS:

1. Specification Section 16000 requires that raceway penetrations through fire rated wall, floor, or ceiling assemblies be fire sealed with UL listed fittings and seals. In addition, if new cable is installed in an existing raceway that penetrates a fire rated assembly, the existing fire seals shall be replaced with new UL listed fire seals.
