Dear Parishioners,
This past Saturday we had First Holy Communion for our Holy Family Grade School kids. Congratulations to all of you in receiving this incredible sacrament! Thank you to Elisha Ty (2nd grade teacher) and Dr. Suelto (principal) and Tom Makiling (music) for making this happen.
Right after the 4th of July weekend, we are embarking on a new Mass schedule. The confessions schedule and church visitation schedule remain the same.
The new Mass schedule:
WEEKDAYS (beginning Monday, July 6th): 8 AM and 5:30 PM Masses. The 8 AM will be live streamed. SATURDAYS: 8 AM and 5:30 PM vigil Mass The 8 AM will be live streamed. SUNDAYS (beginning July 12th): 8 AM, 9:30 AM, 11 AM and 12:30 PM (bilingual) and 5:30 PM (Life Teen). The 9:30 AM Mass will be live streamed.
We will try this new schedule and make accommodations as necessary. In an effort to keep these Masses, we will need a sufficient number of trained volunteers. Safety is paramount and we cannot do this without proper sign-in, seating and disinfecting.
As I mentioned previously, we will be getting a newly ordained priest on September 1. Rev. Mr. Michael Mesa will be ordained a priest of Jesus Christ on August 8th at the cathedral. Attendance is limited to 100 people, so we will not be able to attend.
Our seminarian, Matthew Miguel, will be ordained a transitional deacon on August 29th. Again, attendance is limited to 100 people, so those to be ordained are allowed few guests.
We are scheduling a Sacrament of Confirmation date for the latter part of August. Stay tuned for the date. We plan to have this Confirmation Mass for 55 candidates in the parking lot at 5:30 PM, unless we are permitted to expand the attendance in the church by this time.
Finally, don’t forget our Drive Thru Food drive for the hungry on Saturday, July 11th in the parking lot from 10 AM – Noon. AS CATHOLICS OUR STORY IS ALIVE
Our parish commitment weekend and follow up weekend was completed in February. Our Parish goal is $100,261. The pledges we have received so far total $78,956. The amount paid is $28,656.22. Out of our 4700 registered families, 450 have made a pledge or payment. Payment and Pledge online is available at OurMissionLA.org.

A Miss ion , Entrusted to Our Care The Together in Mission campaign is an opportunity for people across the Archdiocese to join together—as one united voice. Thousands of men and women just like you make a sustainable monthly commitment because they believe in the hope that will be given through classrooms, from pulpits, on the streets and through the sacraments.

We will worship as one family on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th at 9 AM in observance of
our nation’s Independence Day.
Please note, there will be one Mass only at 9 AM and the parking lot will be closed at 11 AM on Friday and
Saturday. All Parish offices will be closed.
After the Independence Day Mass at 9:00 am, Deacon Ron Baker will be leading the
Patriotic Rosary. Please plan to stay after the Mass to pray for all people in our country.
