PDRMA Loss Control• Since our 2018 Loss Control Review we are currently going through and targeting our areas where we have had
losses.
• PDRMA sent out a Kick Off Form that has us identify areas where we see our losses and areas where we can improve.
• Our top two loss categories were Bending and Lifting Injuries, Slips Trips and Falls, and vehicle related incidents.
• We concentrated more emphasis on training and promoting better lifting practices and correcting areas where we have had incidents of slips and falls. PDRMA has scheduled a Coefficient of Friction evaluation for two of our facilities (PARC & Four Seasons) where we have has instances of people slipping. We have also identified areas where we will have Thermal Scans taken of electrical panels and equipment to look for any problems that could lead to fire hazards.
• November of 2019, we received a $1500 cash award from PDRMA. This was to acknowledge our efforts toward loss prevention, identifying areas where we improved, increased training and awareness.
