Teatro Okolo Malohontu 2020

Road bike race Teatro Okolo Malohont was founded in 2014 due to promotion of Rimavska

Sobota and region of Malohont throughout Slovakia and neighbouring countries. Organizational

team of the race is a group of passionate people who work 365 days a year to prepare the most

beautiful and best cycling races in the region. Beautiful nature of region Malohont, with a touch of

early autumn and also the finish on cobblestones leading through the historic main square of

Rimavska Sobota with numerous spectators, make this race even more special. Race is made

for all road cyclists, for both amateurs and licensed racers. With its hilly profile it has got character

of popular one-day road bike classics, while the length of the race is chosen with respect of

different endurance of the participants. We hope that the quality of this event and attractiveness

of this track will attract large number of racers and also audience.

Payment of the starting fee is possible only by bank transfer. Payment instruction will be

send on your email after registration. In the day of the race is payment possible only in

cash. Registration is completed only after payment of entry fee. Racer name will appear

in starting list only after payment of entry fee is proceed. In case of cancelation of event

starting fee will be refunded. In case rider will not participate on the event entry fee is not

refundable or transfer to the second year is also not possible.

Main competition categories

Man:

– A: up to 18 years ( -2002)

– B: 19-29 years (01-91)

– C: 30-39 years (90-81)

– D: 40-49 years (80-71)

– E: 50-59 years (70-61)

– F: 60- more years (60- )

Women:

– Z: 18- more years (2002- )

Competitors younger than 18 years must have parental consent!!

Special competitions

King of the mountains competition – on the race route are 4 mountain premiums – scored first three: 3,2 a 1 point – rider with highest score win – at equality of points, decides better place at finish – premiums will be marked 1km, 500m a 200m

Teams competition

– teams competition is for 4 and more member teams, you are automatically part of the competition if you have enough registered members of the team – all team members must fill absolutely the same team name and check „Teams“ opinion in team competition in the registration form – in the finish will be time of the first four riders from the same team count up, time is rounded in seconds – team with the smallest time win, in case of the same time decides place of the fourth rider in the finish

Heavyweight competition

– competition Heavyweight is for participants regardless of age over or equal 100kg of body weight at the day of the race – you are NOT automatically assigned to the competition, you have to sign up during registration – competitors will be checked with personal weight during presentation on the race day, in case of conditions failure racer will only be classified within his age category

Competition of historic bicycles

– competition is for participants regardless of age which completed the race on the

bicycle according following rules:

– bicycle control take place during registration of competitors at the race day, in case of

conditions failure racer will only be classified within his age category

Competition of the most experienced – oldest man and woman participant of the race in the finish will be awarded

– absolute winner wins winners jersey from VELORE company and Challenge Trophy

– first three in overall standings wins material prize

– first three in each age category wins trophy and 1kg of honey Medúľ

– first three in KOM competition wins trophy

– first three teams in Teams competition wins diploma

– first three in Heavyweight competition wins diploma

– first three in Competition of historic bicycles wins diploma

– oldest man and woman competitor of the race wins diploma

Support vehicles

– only support cars of organizers will be allowed in the race convoy

– support car of competitors are not allowed in race convoy due to safety reason

– there is going to be a two neutral mechanical cars marked with approximate average

speed that can store spare wheels by number of athlete, also with spare inner tube and

large pump:

1. neutral support car behind first large group of cyclist (approximate average

speed 37km/h)

2. neutral support car behind second large group of cyclist (approximate average

speed 33km/h)

– broom wagon behind last competitor

Rules and terms

– each rider and any person taking part in the race makes so at his/her own risk and is

fully liable for any claims or damages caused by him/her

– the organizer is not liable for damage caused to competitors or support, nor caused by

them

– riders and support vehicles must respect the Traffic rules, instructions of the police

and the organizers, the roads will not be fully closed for traffic, crossings will be

provided by organizers and the police

– protection helmet is required for each competitors during whole race

– competitors can attend the race only on road bikes powered only by human effort

without support motors

– it is forbidden to throw away waste along the course, except Buffet, under penalty of

disqualification!

– crossroads on the race route will be ensured by police from passage of the first racer

to arrival of the last racer, but no more than 60 minutes from the passage of the first

racer, we calls for adherence to safety and keeping traffic rules for riders riding more

than one hour behind the front of the race

– organizer reserves the right to make any changes to this propositions

Refreshment points

– first refreshment station is on the top of 3th mountain premium at 52km, with cycling

bottles with water, Cola, bananas, bars, pastry, salt…

– second refreshment station in the finish, with water, bananas, pastry, tea…

Lunch

– after the race is prepared tasty lunch for every competitor in restaurant Čierny orol

– lunch ticket will be in the starting pack

Shower

– shower after the race is available for every competitor in the fitness center Bodyform

fitness, 300m from the race finish

Registration

Registration for the race Teatro Okolo Malohontu will be launched 1st of June 2020.

Participant gift will get only first 100 registered racers with payed starting fee. It is highly

possible that registration will not be possible on the race day due to anti-pandemic

restrictions. We ask all competitors not to keep their registration on the day of the race,

but register in advance. An unforgettable cycling adventure is waiting for you with the
