Besides, the Riello Combustion Research Centre, located in Angiari Italy, represents one of the most modern facility in Europe and one of the most advanced in the world for the development of the burner technology.

Biofuels
Biodiesel (FAME according to EN14213)
It is a liquid biofuel, transparent and amber coloured obtai-ned by vegetable oil (rape oil, sunflowers, others) through a chemical process (transesterification with ethyl alcool).Its viscosity is the same of the light oil used in heating appliances or automotive industry. Both fuels could be therefore used proportioned in different % according to the Countries rules and to the use. The high solvent power versus rubbers is the main peculiarity that makes this fuel different from the traditional light oil and that connotates the technical aspects of the burners that use it.
Biogas
It is a gas biofuel derived from the anaerobic digestion of biomasses such as vegetable and animal residuals; it is composed by CH4 (50-70%), CO2 (30-35%) and other gas such as H2S, NH3, H2, CO, HC.
Vegetable Oil
Vegetable oils - SVO, Straight Vegetable Oil - are obtai-ned by vegetable oil squeezing (rape oil, sunflower, soya, grape seeds, etc.) or by other plants parts with a viscosity that is 60-75 mm2/s at 20°C versus 2-8 mm2/s at 20°C of light oil.
Biofuels are natural fuel of organic origin; they are alternative to fossil fuels and can be gas (biogas), liquid (biodiesel, vegetable oil, ethanol) and solid (wood, wood chip, pellet). Riello Burners can offer a wide range of products for biodiesel, biogas and vegetable oil.
