Priscilla Grantham Hawkins was born in St. Simons Island, Georgia and received a BBA-Finance & Real Estate from the University of Mississippi. She is a Staff Accountant with Swetland Cook, PLLC in Oxford.

Melissa Pigott Poole was born in Slidell, Louisiana and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting and a Master’s of Public

Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a Senior Associate with HORNE LLP in Ridgeland.

Trisha Jo Rainer was born in Meridian and is applying as an Associate Member. She received a BBA Accounting from Mississippi State University and is a City Auditor/Chief Accountant with the City of Meridian.

Kristen Danielle Reeves was born in Tuscaloosa and received a Bachelor Degree from Mississippi University for Women and a Master’s Degree from Mississippi State University. She is a Senior Staff Accountant with Mitchener, Stacy, Thomas & Associates, PLLC in Columbus.

Ryan Alex Rhea received a Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Professional Accountancy from Mississippi State University. He is a Staff Accountant with Nail McKinney P.A. in Tupelo.

Laura Amye Williams Smith was born in Gulfport and received a BA of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi and a MA of Public Accountancy from Mississippi State University. She is a Plant Controller with Viking Range Corporation in Greenwood.

Accounting interns and young professionals spent their lunch breaks at the MSCPA Training Center Friday, February 19. Mississippi Young CPA Network members Wil Crawford and Kimberly Williams shared about the importance of networking and how it helped them to become leaders at their work and in their community.

MSCPA Committees meet Thursday, May 12 for Committee Day at the MSCPA Center and members are encouraged to volunteer now for committee service.

Awards will be presented for Public Service, Outstanding Educator, CPA Exam and Rising Star.

Complete convention details and registration materials will be posted to the Society’s website at www.ms-cpa.org in late March. Convention packets will also be mailed. (See the Sandestin Room Reservation form on Page 4 of this Newsletter.)
