CAREER OBJECTIVE
I am a qualified Fitter and Machinist that is working at Huon Aquaculture as a Fixed Plant Fitter. Prior to this I completed my apprenticeship in Cert III Mechanical Engineering with Bluestone at the Renison Tin Mine. From this position I gained a vast amount of knowledge on crushers, screens, pumps and conveyors. I have worked across 6 other mine sites within Tasmania and have various experience. I am a safety conscious individual who strives to continual improve the way we do things. I work well within a team environment, but can confidently work unsupervised if necessary, I have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic looking to take the next step of my career. Please take into consideration I am looking to relocate and have four years of the DIDO lifestyle.

Viking Maintenance & Contracting is a proudly Tasmanian owned and operated Labour Hire, Maintenance and Construction company. We specialize in construction, agriculture, manufacturing and all other blue collar industries. As a fixed plant shift fitter my duties and responsibilities include;
Conduct breakdown and preventative maintenance on fixed plant equipment
Mechanical repairs on Warman centrifugal pumps, Mono pumps, Baader filleting machines, Marel slicers and Multivac sealing units.
Installation and repairs on pneumatic cylinders, regulators and lines
Complete fault finding in a fast pace environment by applying safely and effective maintenance strategies
Fabrication and welding repairs on the plants infrastructure
Creating and completing JSA's
On call during morning and afternoon shift
Communicate on a daily basis with team members, opposite shift fitter and maintenance manager

Renison Tin Mine is the largest operating tin mine in Australia. Metals X and Yunnan Tin Group own the mine through a 50/50 joint venture called Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture. The tin ore is subjected to fine grinding, magnetic separation, and tin flotation processes. The processing of tin ore includes a three stage crushing along with primary grind, copper flotation and cassiterite flotation in addition to concentration. As a fitter and machinist my duties and responsibilities include;
Conduct breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment
Mechanical repair on Warman slurry pumps, Ritz’s pumps, Sandvik cone and jaw crushers, screens, Sepro Falcon centrifugal concentrators, Radicon gearboxes and conveyors
Plan and install pipework throughout underground and surface
Attended to all fabricating and lathe work as required

Utilise Pronto, doc control, entering work requests, following work orders, scoping and intranet to access required HSEC policies and procedures.
