Welcome to Rickmansworth Situated in Hertfordshire on the cusp of Greater London, this area is renowned for great transport links for in and around London yet having the benefit of some beautiful countryside to enjoy, perfect for the commuter looking for a ‘quality’ lifestyle.

Rickmansworth has a bustling high street with many cafés, restaurants, public houses and shops. With a local library and theatre, it offers a perfect blend of modern amenities whilst retaining a village feel. The area has excellent schools, both private and state and is surrounded by the smaller rural villages of Chorleywood, Sarratt, Chipperfield, Chenies and Croxley Green.

Period cottages from the Victorian and Edwardian era can be found in the town centre and a large stock of Metroland houses dating from the 1930s are situated nearby, many within easy walking distance of the railway station.

Sue Trybus’ favourite local restaurant is Maurizzio’s, situated in heart of the town centre. “Maurizzio’s prepare one of the best sirloin steaks delivered with a fun and first class service!”. Meanwhile, Julian Clark says the ever popular gastro pub at Scotsbridge Mill , towards Croxley Green offers a beautiful setting and superb family atmosphere.

Scotsbridge Mill Traditional public house and fine dining restaurant with the added charm of its own working mill.

The Coach& Horses A lively public house in the heart of Rickmansworth offering a varied menu with locally sourced products and a great atmosphere!

As well as the smaller shops offered in Rickmansworth town centre, Watford’s intu shopping complex is a short drive away, with a multitude of shops for any occasion. Surrounding the intu centre are several retail parks which are home to competitive furniture and lifestyle outlets.

The well known Aquadrome offers a great children’s play area, beautiful lake and woodland for outdoors walking and relaxing. Windsurfing, sailing and canoeing lessons are often available. Moor Park and Chorleywood Golf Clubs are situated close by to Rickmansworth for Golf enthusiasts as well as a riding school in Sarratt.

Chorleywood CommonA Country Heritage Site of 200 acres of grassland and woodland, this beautiful common is treasured by locals and visitors.
