relying solely on this information to base their decision.• important information to consider: — does he/she have a full-time or part-time job? — does he/she juggle numerous responsibilities (raising a family, volunteering, work etc.)? — has he/she been recognized for their contributions? — how long has he/she been active in the community?
CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS: High School: — athletes aged 13 to 18 as of Jan. 1, 2011 — participating in secondary school sports
Junior: — athletes aged 13 to 18 as of Jan. 1, 2011 — participating in community, provincial, national or international sports
Adults: — athletes aged 19 to 40 as of Jan. 1, 2011 — participating in community, provincial, national or international sports
Master: — athletes aged 41 to 55 as of Jan. 1, 2011 — participating in community, provincial, national or international sports
Senior: — athletes aged 55 and over as of Jan. 1, 2011 — participating in community, provincial, national or international sports
Post Secondary: — athletes participating in university or college sports
Offi cial: — referee or umpire in community, provincial, national or international sports
Administrator: — an individual contributing in a way other than as athlete or offi cial to a community, provincial, national or international sports organization
Coach: — coach a community, provincial, national or international sports team
Team: — a community or school-based team
Athlete with a Disability: — Athlete competing in sports for athletes with a disability
Special Olympics: — athlete competing in a Special Olympics sport
