SENIOR ART DIRECTOR Story Worldwide, Seattle WA September 2012 – January 2014 As a senior art director at Story Worldwide, my responsibilities are • work closely with internal team (editorial, photo, prepress/production, and account team) to conceive, propose, and execute print magazines and all associated facets of program including digital. • Travel as needed for photo shoots, and critical production windows in magazine schedule. • Establish and maintain relevant objectives and high design and editorial standards. This includes liaising with teams and support staff both locally and remotely. • Participate in client and internal planning, development, production, and follow-up meetings, as needed, to assure the highest possible results on time and on or under budget. • Serve as group wide design lead for other prospective and existing projects as needed. • Contribute to efficient system for estimating and accurately tracking budgets. • Build and manage a stable of contributors, including photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, and other specialists for all work venues and media, as needed. • Contribute to creating and sustaining a culture in which both editorial and art staff collaborate effectively to achieve shared objectives. • Keep informed of design, photographic, typographic and social media issues and trends as they relate to Story Worldwide creative. • Contribute to Story off-sites and other meetings as a design and creative advocate. GRAPHIC DESIGNER Scotsman Guide, Seattle WA June 2006 - June 2007

As a graphic designer for Scotsman Guide, my responsibilities were designing half of the residential edition of Scotsman Guide and other design services for the company such as advertisements for clients. Worked closely with other designers and editors under the supervision of the art director. Spread design by me appeared in the SPD's 42nd Publication Design Annual, which featured all award-winning magazine designs and illustrations from 2006.
