SURFACE WARFARE OFFICER SCHOOL COMMAND UNIT INSTRUCTOR (10/2010 – 10/2013)Oversaw development of eight instructors charged with teaching specialized trade skills to 200 master level mechanics annually. Consulted with senior management to develop and organize training manuals and educational materials. Served as the chair of 86 Academic Review Boards. Established and implemented all testing and evaluation procedures to ensure apprenticeship programs complied with Navy/DoD requirements.

Played key role in conducting program needs analysis and defining human performance requirements in order to develop new training programs as well as update existing programs.

MECHANICAL SYSTEMS SUPERVISOR / TECHNICIAN (03/2007 – 10/2010)Provided high-level fuel management leadership, supervising transfer of lubricants and fuel oil to two Alfa-Laval fuel purifiers and one oil and water testing laboratory. Established and managed new safety operation procedures. Served as an engineering systems expert training 20 engineers on new Electronic Shift Operations Management System (ESOMS) Tag-Out System. Administered and tracked $5M in supplies and equipment. Trained staff/mechanics on proper care and use of the equipment.

Saved the Navy $1.2M in repairs to Boat Davit Crane by completing project in under 500 man-hours. Created and directed middle management leadership program that advanced 14 front line supervisors. Supervised the pressure testing of 20 fuel/lube oil system relief valves, bringing ship to full safety status. Completed 14 sea re-fueling, 18 in-port refueling, and 95 helicopter refueling operations, receiving 1.62M

gallons of Marine Diesel fuel and 24.7K gallons of Aviation fuel with no spills or incidents. Coordinated repairs of two fuel oil service pumps, stripping pump, and oily waste separator, ensuring full

operations of vital systems during a highly challenging deployment. Served as Ship Fuel Systems Specialist, leading oil lab to complete two refueling actions without incident,

while deployed and defueling of the ship prior to docking. Nominated for the American Petroleum Institute’s Award for Fuels Personnel.

Interpreted technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to locate/repair malfunctioning parts. Reviewed projects and ordered parts, scheduled repaired according to ship’s schedule. Trained and qualified three personnel in Battle Force Intermediate, Maintenance Activity, Heat Exchanger Repair thus improving ship efficiency. Performed maintenance and repair on various pumps, compressors, generator sets, purifiers, valves, and propulsion shaft bearings. Conducted bore scope inspections and rigging operations.

Served as boiler repair shop Assistant Scheduler coordinating completion of 850 jobs. Conceived and produced a comprehensive departmental training program for 27 personnel covering all

topics related to power plant maintenance, operation, and safety. Completed repair of 36 heat exchangers and 19 super-heater tubes for Amphibious and Cruiser ships. Repaired sixteen 3.5 ton air conditioning units and twenty-two hydraulic elevators for several US Navy
