JIGSAW Terms.•Create a list of terms or ideas and their definitions (at least 10). •Cut the terms out splitting up the term and its definition and mix them up in a n envelope. •Match the terms to their correct definitions.

Ideas to help you write:

• The “Cut-up: Method: Rip a blank sheet of paper into several pieces. On each of the pieces, write down odd phrases or single words relating to your topic. Rearrange the scraps to form lyrics or make them rhyme.– Note: You may have to add additional words to make the song flow.

• The Parody Method: Select a song you like that has a nice beat to it (not too fast). Write down the lyrics to the song. Then change the verses and chorus to the topic you are working on. – Note: Make sure you keep the same number of words as the original song;

otherwise your lyrics will be out of beat with the music.
