What do they eat in Australia?

Most Australian restaurants are by the sea because most people live by the sea in

Australia. Australians like to swim or fish. Then they meet together in the evening for a

barbecue in the park or at home. They cook meat and fish in the barbecue.

For two hundred years Australians ate British food. Today, there are restaurants from all

over the world in Australia. Italian and Greek restaurants come first but now there are

many Chinese and Italian restaurants. There is a large group of Spanish people living

In the North of Australia the farmers grow a lot of sugar cane and fruit: bananas, melons,

tomatoes and grapes. The trains and lorries take the fruit to the cities in the South.

There are many different types of fruit in the shops and restaurants here.

There are crocodiles in the rivers and in the sea. Crocodile farmers catch and kill them
