2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them thathad gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his

mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3 And they sing the song of Moses the

servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellousare thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thouKing of saints. 4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thyname? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship

before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Chapter 15 opens with a quickglance at seven angels carryingthe seven last plagues. But then

it quickly shows us again apicture of the joyful ones

around the throne who havewon the victory over evil

through the power of Jesus.Whenever there is something

sad that has to be told, ourloving Jesus always gives usfirst, a view of somethinghappy to encourage us.

It is a good idea that if we

have to show anyone a mistakethey have made or some othernegative thing that we first saysomething kind and cheering to

    them.

Here we see the saved ones again, all joyful before Gods throne, and theyare all declaring something very important. They are singing the song ofMoses, and the Lamb. This is a song about unselfish love that wins thevictory over evil by humble self-sacrifice; the song of people who have

learned to love as Jesus loved.

They are also saying that God is fair and good, even though we are going tosee some terrible things happen in the next few chapters of Revelation, things that will and must take place after the close of probation for thiswicked world, still it is the love, mercy and justice of our loving Father inheaven that makes these thing needful. They are agreeing with what God

has to do, even though it is sad and terrible.

Then we see the temple opened andout of it comes seven angels. Theyare dressed in white linen, whichshows they are pure and holy, like

Jesus. One of the four beasts giveseach angel a golden vial, which is

full of the wrath of God.Remember that these 'beasts'

represent some of the people whohave been saved.

5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the

tabernacle of the testimony inheaven was opened: 6 And theseven angels came out of the

temple, having the sevenplagues, clothed in pure and

white linen, and having theirbreasts girded with goldengirdles. 7 And one of the four

beasts gave unto the sevenangels seven golden vials full of

the wrath of God, who liveth forever and ever.

What a very sad thing that ourloving God, who has patience, unselfishness and kindness

    beyond anything we can even

imagine; this wonderful Beingwho tells us His mercy is newevery morning; has to finally

pour out wrath on those He hasdone everything to save, but

who have despised all Hisgoodness and are determinedto kill His faithful children.

  • 7/27/2019 Revelation 15

    11/17

How cruel and wicked it is to

wear out the patience of Oneso good. But still it isnt a caseof God finally loosing His

temper! Oh, no indeed! It isnecessary for the good of

others that these terribleplagues have to fall on thewicked world. There are severalreasons for them. One is that

these wicked ones aredetermined to murder all of

Gods faithful children. He willnot allow this to happen.

  • 7/27/2019 Revelation 15

    12/17

Another reason is to show to the universe that nothing God could dowould ever get these rebels to change. No matter what, they will curse

God and still go on being wicked and cruel.
