The long name of the Committee reveals the wide-scope of responsibilities of this committee. Essentially, there are four arears that we are most concerned with: the Permanent Diaconate; Priestly Life and Ministry; Consecrated Life; Vocations and Seminary Formation. The Committee also bears responsibility for Bishops Life and Ministry, though in a restricted sense. All committees and offices of the Conference have to do with the bishop’s life and ministry. However, the CCLV Committee was instrumental in the conference norms for bishops emeriti as well as the Statement of Episcopal Commitment to the Charter.
