• Allows you to select the location that best serves your family’s needs
• Back to School 2020
Online v. On Campus InstructionFor 2020-21, parents may choose Online or On Campus instruction for their children. Both will be taught by PFE teachers.
ALL Humble ISD students will be Online the first 2 weeks of school. After the first 2 weeks, there are 2 options:
● ONLINE - These are students who plan to do Online long term.
● ON CAMPUS - These are students who will come to school On Campus/in person starting August 24.
Your child’s current teacher is based on the choice you have made so far. If you change the option for your child, please know that you may have a teacher change.
Fill out the LEARNING LOCATION FORM at any time if you need to change your choice.
ONLINE INSTRUCTION(for students choosing to remain online after August 24)
● Online students will be required to be engaged DAILY in online learning.
● There will be a daily Morning Meeting via Zoom and daily assignments on Seesaw or Google Classroom. Mini lessons and small group instruction via Zoom will be scheduled throughout the week.
● PFE Learning Management Systems ○ K - 2 Seesaw○ 3- 5 Google Classroom/Seesaw
● Assignments and assessments will be similar for both online and on campus learners. Grading policies are the same for both. Online assignments will have specific due dates.
Our number one goal is the safety of our students and staff!
We will be following the governor’s order. Masks/face shields will be worn inside the building by all individuals 10 years old and above.
In addition, students will be kept in homeroom groups (as much as possible) to alleviate mixing of students in different classrooms. Classmates are a “family”.
Misting will occur daily in the building for sanitizing.
Please check the Back to School 2020 website for up to date information.

ON CAMPUS: PHYSICAL DISTANCING
● As of 8/17/20, PFE has 370 On Campus Learners and 214 Online Learners. With only 63% of our students on campus, we will have the opportunity to physically distance our homeroom classes across the campus. This will be achieved by:
■ Space between lunch tables■ Recess zones■ Grade level assigned restrooms■ Staggered classes in the hallways■ PE classes will not mix
● Homeroom classes are like a “family.” Students will be taught to keep distance as much as possible and to wash/sanitize hands often.
● Personal supplies (pencils, crayons, etc.) will not be shared. Classroom materials, books, and technology will be shared. However, items will be sanitized daily.
● Morning Meeting time: students in classroom until 8:30 am
Screening● Staff and students are expected to
screen daily● A partnership of trust...we will work together
for the benefit of all.● We must protect our students and staff!

We want students to have as much instructional time as possible to ensure their success. To assist with this, please schedule appointments after school and not during the school day.
In the rare occasion that you must sign your child out, please do so before 2:45 pm.
After 2:45, we will ask that you wait until the regular dismissal time so your child benefits from maximized learning time.
Thank you for your assistance with this!
We will be partnering like never before! It will be important that open lines of communication are established as we work together as a team to support your student.
We will communicate via phone, email, and platforms. In addition, please look for our weekly newsletter and check out the PFE website.
