Academic Projects: Predicting Television Rerun Viewership for Sports, Penn State - University (Feb 2015 May 2015) Created a regression model to predict the re-telecast viewership of a sporting event by considering a number of predictor variables including sentiment analysis of Tweets, tweeted during the live game. Transportation Capacity Analysis for a Theme Park, Penn State University (Feb 2015 - May 2015) Used SIMIO to design the transportation system for an amusement complex, to minimize the cost of operations, and to minimize average wait time of customers. Forecast sales using Data Mining and Regression, Penn State University (Aug 2014 - Dec 2014) Applied Data Mining and Regression techniques to historical Walmart sales data to find the relation between sales and external factors such as seasonal holidays, functionality and location of the store. Designed algorithm to optimize a supply chain network, Penn State University (Sept 2014 - Nov 2014) Optimized the cost of ordering for a supply chain with multiple suppliers by considering it as a Multi- Criteria decision making problem with conflicting criteria such as cost, lead-time and quality. Staffing problem at Supermarket using Arena, SRM University (Nov 2013 May 2014) Used ARENA to formulate the staffing problem at a super store, as a discrete-event based simulation model, to determine the most economical staff assignment with reasonable customer waiting time.
