The present study show the result about of the technical and economic assessment for two possible solutions of improvement the electrical energy service for an Oil Industrial Company (OIC) that supply power can be to achieve with the connection of your load to National Interconnected System. This object includes realizing the electrical and financial studies for a last power projected demand of 16MW. The proposed alternatives must provide solution to the serious problems that come affect the reliability and continuity of the power supply and limit the future expansion of coverage by EIH. The two alternatives selected will be the following:

The first analyzed option consists to make a simple electrical circuit at 115 kV, between the substations El Yarumo and the new Orito electrical Substation. On the S/E Orito115 kV.

the second option consists of improving the existing connection at 34.5 kV of tension level, that contemplates to the reinforcement the installation with a new circuit and its corresponding generator sets, control modules and protection systems, for new line whose connection point is El Yarumo electrical Substation.

We find that the two different alternatives are viable technique and economically. They are much better than the actual connections and represent a better electrical performance, in comparison with to the little connectivity and the impossibility to upload charge at 34.5 kV level in the present system (that it requires to complete charge with the diesel generators for achieve the demand at this tension level). The recommended alternative will be the connection at 115 kV, because present better technical results and much favorable economic conditions. This must be presented before the regulating entities that are owners of the system, the Network Operator Company and the Planning Unit UPME, that evaluate and approve this connection.
