In my previous career I developed a business plan for my furniture business that was subsequently used by the Department of Education Employment and Workplace Relations, NIES program (New Enterprise Incentive Scheme) as an example in their business unit. • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills were developed

while managing my highly successful business, Coastal Pine Furniture (manufacturing) and Furniture Central (retail). The success was underpinned by fostering collaboration and self-motivation in a diverse team and; maintaining a growing customer base through excellent service and attention to detail.

Exceptional Teamwork Skills •. Going hand in hand with communication skills; excellent teamwork skills from my

business career have been developed. This was achieved through training, managing and working as part of and as a team member of 22 staff spread across a manufacturing plant and two retail outlets. In my current role I function successfully as part of the team at Sunshine Coast Council Drainage Unit as a Technical Support Officer.

managing both working career and raising a family as a sole parent whilst studying. My previous career experience includes business management, accounting systems, product design and production, human relations, time management as well as wholesale and retail sales. I am a detail-oriented, efficient and organised professional and as a result of my career experience, I have developed strong analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to make well thought out decisions in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills.

solving numerous issues such as maintaining production with machinery breakdowns or staff absences.
