Employment Marsh & McLennan Agencies Senior Accountant May 2014 – Present

Regional office position responsible for the financial reporting of eleven offices to corporate.

Responsible for monthly fixed asset reports for all offices, as well as converting the asset list of every new office acquired to our system ensuring each is applied consistently and uniformly throughout the company.

Responsible for preparing and analyzing the Net Commissions & Fees report & Contingent Income report (profitability) on a monthly basis. This required analyzing current year to prior year for clients that meet a predetermined dollar threshold for lost accounts, new business, and timing issues to evaluate if the company is on track to meet yearly goals.

Demonstrated the initiative to take on a special project for HR to reconcile all employee benefit accounts that had not been monitored for twelve months. Worked directly with benefit carrier and payroll processor to clean accounts and split into separate general ledger accounts.

Controlled all incoming funds for the office ensuring each payment was applied to the correct account in a timely manner. Managed all bank accounts, monitoring balances and wires on a daily basis. This required substantial investigative skills, as money for all offices was feeding into one account and many wires did not have sufficient detail.

Reviewed and entered all journal entries for the region and reviewing all supporting documentation to ensure accuracy of month end reporting.

Created bank and general ledger reconciliations for monthly and quarterly deadlines on appropriate accounts. This ensured consistent review of all accounts eliminating risk by identifying errors immediately.

Managed account balances for all producers making sure none fell below projected forecasts and adjusting payouts to eliminate surplus/deficits at year end. This required providing updated monthly reports with year over year status compared to year end goals.

Worked closely with management to create forecast for Profit and Loss reports. Consolidated data on a monthly basis for entire region reviewing for errors and areas of risk.

Found new ways to improve processes by creating new macro and learning new excel skills. Served on a special

committee to identify deficient processes and internal areas for improvement to improve efficiencies within the company.
