Regional  Facilities  Manager-­‐  06/10  to  03/13 THE  COLLIER  COMPANIES  -­‐  Gainesville,  FL High  profile  management  position  in  charge  of  facilities  for  27  properties  in  Gainesville,  7  in  Tallahassee,  3  in  Tampa,   and   1   each   in   Ocala,   Oviedo   and   Palatka   for   a   total   of   10,000   Units.   Provision   of   leadership   for  property  managers  on  larger  projects  and  issues  which  could  not  be  handled  at  the  property  level. Coordination  and  supervision  of  landscape  vendors  and  projects.

• Work  with  outside  vendors  to  procure  bids  for  large  capital  projects • Supervision  of  capital  projects • Collaboration  with  suppliers  to  negotiate  bulk  pricing  for  all  properties • Conduct  regular  property  inspections  to  ensure  compliance  with  company  policies • worked  with   the   local   utility   supplier   on   rebate   programs  were   I   did   LED   lighting   retro   fits   to  

save  on  electricity  and  they  picked  up  a  portion  of  the  cost  on  the  new  lights  and  install  cost • Negotiated  a  $50.00  rebate  on  every  new  refrigerator  we  installed.   • Obtained  $  40,000  savings  on  200  toilets  installed  for  a  water  conservation  program.   • Oversaw   a   new  paint   contract  with   Sherwin  Williams   that   saved   21%  on   paint   costs   over   the  

previous  year. •  Negotiated  a  new  contract  with  Shaw  carpets  that  got  the  company  9  cents  back  for  every  yard  

of  carpet  installed.

Director  of  Facilities  and  Maintenance  -­‐06/03  to  05/10 MELROSE  STUDENT  SUITES  -­‐  Gainesville,  FL   Senior-­‐  level  management  position  responsible  for  the  supervision  of  a  maintenance  staff  and  shop  at  a  900  bed   Apartment   Complex.   Scope   of   leadership   responsibility   was   significant   and   included   planning   and  meeting   operating   and   financial   goals,   managing   customer   relationships   and   resolving   customer   issues,  allocating   resources   and   personnel,   ensuring   contractual   and   regulatory   compliance,   and   implementing  safety   and  quality   standards. Coordination   of  work   orders,   preventative  maintenance,   vendor   contracting,  and  quarterly  and  annual  fire  inspections.

• Coordination  of  five  successful  turns • Training  of  peer  directors  at  other  sites • Implementation  of  new  processes  for  higher  turn  efficiency,  scheduling  and  billing • Developed  a  Turn  board  that  scheduled  and  print  inspection  sheets  for  the  units.  It  also  printed
