Gained federal experience working as a contractor for the National Cancer Institute’s Patient Derived Xenograft (PDX) Tumor and Fibroblast Cancer Database Initiative, which aims to produce and provide the largest variety of cancer cell lines for further domestic and global research.

Performed tissue cell culture while implementing sterile techniques in a Biosafety Level 2 lab.

Prepared RNA and cDNA samples from PDX cell lines and performed QRT PCR analysis on these samples.

Collaborated with team members to perform weekly tasks, develop innovative approaches, and implement practical solutions to streamline processes and improve overall performance.

Maintained the laboratory and was responsible for ordering any equipment that was needed. Organized records of orders and deliveries, and maintained communication between the lab and third party vendors to create a consistent weekly workflow output.

Managed the organization of tracking tables, the daily duties of new team members, and the delivery of weekly experimental-project data. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Served on the Executive Board within the Chapter along with 9 other women. Attended weekly meetings, planned safety and personnel procedures for social functions and overall conduct, and collaborated to improve involvement on campus.

Worked on the Philanthropy committee to recruit members from other Greek organizations to attend events that raised money to contribute to our chapter’s philanthropy – the Make a Wish Foundation.
