WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCEBETWEEN AVAILABLEVACCINES?

We conducted a survey in October 2020 inquiring into the willingness and hesitance ofDouglas County residents to be vaccinated, their decision-making factors, and theirpreferences around vaccine resources and locations. The Vaccination Unit, a dedicated teamoperating under the Unified Command, is carefully analyzing and utilizing these surveyresults for Covid-19 vaccination planning. The team is composed of leadership fromLawrence-Douglas County Public Health, LMH Health, Douglas County EmergencyManagement, Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical, Haskell Indian Health Center, KU Officeof Public Safety, KU School of Pharmacy, Heartland Community Health Center, and PioneerRidge Health and Rehab.

We are planning aCovid-19 vaccine responsereflecting the best ideas fromsimilar communities and onlythe most credible research.We are confident in ourcommunity's ability tocontinue adapting as we enternew stages of the pandemictogether.
