assisted in the implementation of the
ERP in the BME and Protea divisions.
“The business requirements at the Fertilizer Sasolburg site were very complex with multiple
plants, and the size and nature of the maintenance department demanded that we had the
best resources from Resolve Immix. The Resolve Immix team not only had excellent knowledge
of the product and great technical skills, but were a pleasure to work with. They were very
professional, resourceful and were always willing to share their knowledge. I would highly
recommend the team for any implementation of Ax-EAM.”

Business Needs The Solution
The mining industry is exposed tomany different contaminatedenvironments and PTM is no different.
Regulation 9.2(2) of the occupationalhygiene regulations in conjunctionwith section 12 of the Mine Health andSafety Act requires the employer toestablish, maintain, and record thesystem of occupationalmeasurements.
The employer must establish andmaintain a system of occupationalhygiene measurements, ascontemplated in section 12, of allworking places where the followinghazard limits prevail:
a) airborne pollutantsb) thermal stressc) noise
We provided an Occupational HygieneSystem for PTM according to theSAMOHP (South African MinesOccupational Hygiene Programme)

Current State Desired Future State
We need to maximize mineralproduction while minimizing cost andrisk.
We do not have reliable access to real-time production data in order to refineand improve our models in a timelymanner. We often rely on papercopies which get delayed, damaged, oreven lost.
We need more comprehensive dataand improved analytics to betterforecast production, reduce downtime, and manage regulatory compliance.
It’s very difficult to meet productionand financial targets without anaccurate and timely understanding ofthe factors that influence operations.
Our mine is more productive. We aremeeting our financial objectives andregulatory obligations.
The workforce is more productive. They make better decisions and takemore effective actions. Plus, there arefewer accidents and injuries.
We reduced equipment-relateddowntime significantly. We are betterable to synchronize routinemaintenance with productionschedules. We can predict manyequipment failures before theyhappen.
Real-time data across our operationsgives us the insight we need tooptimize production while protectingour people and the environment.

Platinum Group Metals
Business Needs The Solution
As the business started to take overoperations themselves, they needed astructured environment to startaccounting for production. Thisoperational requirement increase toasset management and integration toother systems.
In addition, they also needed toensure they could manage projectsstructured across multiple jointventures.
New explorations through jointventures have also resulted in therequirement to manage many moreprojects in an effective way.
Microsoft Dynamics AX was deployedfor all financial management of theorganization. As time progressesintegration was incorporated to anumber of systems. Access control ismanaged through X-Time andintegrated to the Dynamics AXsolution.
Although they have used alternativerisk management in the past, theResolve Immix xMMP Risk modulesare being incorporated to manage thisprocess, as well as including historicalrisk data to extend the visibility intoactuals, trends and so on.
Subsequent to this Platinum GroupMetals have invested in the ResolveImmix xMMP module, PAM 1, forproduction management, allowingthem to move away from managingproduction yields on Excelspreadsheets, where human error andother issues were continuously faced.
“Our opinion is based on our experience of Resolve Immix’ ability to understand and interpret business requirements and their capability to address these requirements through matching the functionality of Microsoft Dynamics AX with their industry knowledge” - Schalk Engelbrecht, Group Financial Manager: South Africa

Eastern Platinum
Limited
Business Needs The Solution
From a sheer technology perspective, the organisation had to move awayfrom the use of dispersed ‘islands’ ofprocessing, all using a variety ofmismatched business systems andtechnologies. This was creatingintolerable inefficiencies in thebusiness while making it impossible togenerate any accurate or actionableinformation for the business tooperate effectively. The decision wastaken to move towards the creation ofa central data repository that wouldallow Eastplats to manage all itsmining-related operations, using asingle, fully integrated solution.
Together with technology partner andMicrosoft Gold Certified Partner,Resolve Immix (Axnosis), Eastplatsbegan the carefully planned andphased transition to implementEnterprise Asset Maintenance module.
The implementation was a success, rapid and pain free.
“We were impressed with how quickly the implementers were able to get the system up and running, the workflow, finance, and trade and logistics functionalities were all up and running just three-and-a-half months from board approval. Not only that, but the cost effectiveness was pleasantly surprising. Our investment was only a fraction of that of a rival ERP for an equivalent site.” - Mike Humphries, formerly Group Financial Manager at Eastplats
