Researching House Style Ideas

I started my research of house style ideas by looking through existing

Grazia magazine double page spreads.

I developed an idea of the themes and layout of most Grazia spreads. I started to understand that the main colours of Grazia were yellow and

red.

I began looking at the components of Grazia double page spreads which

gave me more of an idea about how to structure my own double page spread. This is shown more on the

next slide.

Researching Other Ideas

Applying these ideas

I applied some of these components

to my first double page spread house

style. I worked on

mimicking the Grazia house style as much as possible.

Final Idea

My final house style incorporated colours and fonts similar to the Grazia style. I made sure to add more detail and planning to this house style to make it easier to work from on InDesign.

First Mood-board

For my first mood board, I looked at the colours and fonts of Grazia’s magazines and developed my

ideas of what I wanted to

incorporate into my own double page

spread.

I realised that I didn’t think the red theme would work with what I wanted

to achieve so I produced another

mood board.

Final Mood-board

My final mood board focused more

on the yellow themes of some

Grazia magazines.

I wanted my magazine double page spread to fit the house style of Grazia’s spring and

summer issues.
