Section I: Introduction The Brunswick Urban Redevelopment Agency (URA) and City of Brunswick (City) desires to expand the recreational opportunities and create a draw for its residents and visitors by revitalizing and enhancing the city owned Mary Ross Waterfront Park, by constructing a public fountain, splash pad, playground play area, 24 foot climbing wall, illuminated swings, and other enhancements. The proposals to design and install shall include a public fountain (to be located at the main park entrance), splash pad (for all ages), playground (ages 3-12), illuminated swings, and an outdoor (24 foot) rock climbing wall (ages 7 and above) at Mary Ross Park, Brunswick, GA, and as outlined in this request for proposal (RFP). This project is expected to commence immediately following the selection of the successful proposer. This RFP invites companies to submit proposals describing (for all areas) their general concept design, proposed equipment to be used, assembly, and installation for a complete splash pad, public fountain, playground, illuminated swings, and outdoor rock climbing wall areas. Proposals should also include projected cost for the proposed design, and a timeline estimating the completion of each section of the project. The URA reserves the right to reject any or all responses to this RFP and is under no obligation to award a contract. The URA prefers to use one firm to provide all items put forth in this RFP but reserves the right, for any reason, to apportion any aspect of the project as it deems is in the interest of the URA and to do so. The URA and City of Brunswick shall not be liable to any respondent for costs associated with responding to this RFP, for the respondent’s participation in any oral interview if required, or for any costs associated with negotiations. The responsibility for the final selection and negotiation rests solely with the URA. All equipment is to be low maintenance and environmentally friendly. Construction of a splash pad and playground will provide a safe, colorful and attractive entertainment facility for the residents and visitors to the City of Brunswick.
