The Primary election is now in the history books, and we know which candidates won the nomination in every race. Now comes the critical part: You worked your heart out for your favorite candidate – if he/she lost, you are disheartened and sad. What do you do? Well, you DON’T go home and sulk – the adult thing to do (and what the United States needs you to do) is to get on board and work to elect Republicans. Is there ANY circumstance in which you think that a Democrat’s actions in office will reflect your philosophy? No??? Then get out there and work for victory for ALL of us. If the candidate who won our nomination doesn’t support Trump sufficiently, first get him/her into office in the General election, and then work on persuading that candidate to support our President. Spectacular Speaker at the General Meeting on September 6

Our speakers for the October general meeting will be a group who speak about elder abuse and the complicity of the courts. This is a hot-button issue for all of us here in the Green Valley/Sahuarita area – learn how to prevent this happening to YOU or your loved ones. In the eight years of Obama, I lamented the passing of the ‘traditional’ USA and her values. When Donald Trump won the presidency, I rejoiced – perhaps a chance to save the US – keep us from disappearing in the morass of progressivism.

Now I’m not so sure. I believe that when the media continues to talk about Russian interference in the election, the uninformed people of the Left see that as a condemnation of the legitimacy of the election. They see that as if the vote tallies were incorrect.

THERE IS NO EVIDENCE that the Russian ‘interference’ affected vote outcome. I think the drumbeat of ‘Russian interference’ is intentionally misunderstood by the Left as keeping Hillary from being elected President. But that’s not true; the result is clear. While she won in traditionally democratic areas, she LOST in the electoral college. She LOST in most of the counties in the US. She LOST in most states. So… she lost. I don’t care how much you ‘hate’ Trump, it doesn’t give you a reason to consider his presidency ‘illegitimate’.

Bob Beckel, on Fox’s “The Five”, once indicated that ”we [the Republicans] don’t understand how much the liberals dislike Trump.” So what???? He is the duly- elected President of the United States of America, and we need to unite behind him.

Why did Democrats not attend the Inauguration in 2017? Well, they didn’t attend the inauguration of GW Bush in 2001 - I’m seeing a pattern here. If the Democrats don’t win, they don’t participate. This is pretty infantile. Historically, there are only a few Republicans who haven’t attended Democratic inauguration ceremonies. But the Democrats are poor sports. You can’t see it any other way. (‘If it doesn’t come out MY way, I’ll take my ball and go home.’)

Since I initially wrote this, the relentless drumbeat of the Left and the “never Trumpers” have not only continued with the ridiculous “Russia” stuff, but have attacked everything Trump has done. Each day there is something else to attack. He can do no right. Every day we hear about his supposed infractions, his sins against America and her people. The Mueller investigation is going nowhere, and it needs to draw to a close. I worry that the Left’s virulent anti-Trumpism is going to destroy him and his family, though there is no evidence of anything that rises to the level of a cause for impeachment. We must not let the Democrats win either the House or the Senate in the election on November 6. We must save our Republic!

Musings

Due to the unanticipated resignations (for personal reasons)of two Board members recently, the remaining Board members agreed to appoint Lauren Boice to fill one of those slots. Read all about her right here!

I have spent 35 years in the healthcare industry, most recently as Patient Advocate at the Green Valley Hospital. I am also a Mobile Notary for the state of AZ. I have been married to the love of my life, Dick Boice, for 13 years. I enjoy working out at the gym, golfing, hiking and camping with my husband and our Schnauzer, Rembrandt. I am a Constitutional Conservative who believes in supporting our President and The Constitution of the United States. I am also a strong supporter of our 2nd Amendment and the right to bear arms. By joining the Board of

Directors I hope to make a difference in our community by encouraging and inspiring others to participate in our political process and promote conservative Republican ideals.

By the time our November newsletter comes out, many voters will have already cast their votes. So, I wanted to address the IMMENSE importance of the upcoming election. When I say, “immense importance,” I am not exaggerating. Let me explain why it is so important.

President Trump has been remarkably successful in spite of tremendous opposition. When Republicans lost the presidency in 2008 and 2012, we accepted it and started preparing for the next election. When Democrats lost in 2016, the violence and protests began immediately. The “resist” movement and “Russian Collusion” (which isn’t even a crime) were born. Democrats and their media allies will stop at nothing to take down the President elected by “We The People.” President Trump is continually pleading with us to elect more Republicans. He needs support at all levels of government. Every race MATTERS.

Should Democrats gain control of the House of Representatives, here’s what happens. They are the party that believes that America “was never that great” (the now infamous quote of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo). Democrat spokesperson Maxine Waters will continually be shrieking into microphones, “Impeach 45.” Believe me, they will try. They are doing all they can right now to manufacture a reason for his impeachment. All of the investigations into blatant criminality by the Democrats, in conjunction with the 2016 election, will come to a screeching halt and they will have gotten away with all of their crimes. Efforts to secure the border will be defunded. They want open borders. Illegal immigrants, to them, represent illegal voters. Democrats will raise your taxes. Nancy Pelosi and Elizabeth Warren have stated that this is a Democrat goal. Not only does this hurt the individual, it totally stalls our booming economy. Democrats will try to revive the failed and high-priced Obamacare. The free market economy will again be under assault, in favor of the Democrat preferred, socialist policies. The Democrat Party is pretty much owned by proponents of socialism (Soros, Steyer, Obama, Sanders, Warren, etc.). They don’t seem to care that socialism has failed 100% of the time for over a century! These people want to return us to the malaise of the Obama years and we cannot afford to let that happen.

I know all of the candidates I voted for in the primary will not win. However, I will support every Republican primary winner 100%. There is too much at stake not to. Every Republican needs to do the same. Also, make sure that you talk to friends, family, coworkers, and acquaintances about the importance of the upcoming election. Do all you can to make sure they vote. Getting all hands on deck will result in a resounding REPUBLICAN VICTORY!

When you get to the bottom of that ballot, after you’ve voted for all those candidates you researched so thoroughly, there are those Propositions – usually four or five of them. What do they mean? What does a “yes” vote mean? Or a “no” vote? What if I just leave those spaces blank??? Help!!!

You are in luck! At the September 6 Brown Bag Luncheon, the Arizona Free Enterprise Club will educate you about the Propositions, what the numbers mean (does it matter) and how to read them so your vote reflects what YOU want to have happen. Don’t miss this must-hear presentation.

Confused about those pesky Ballot Propositions???

Jeff Utsch, organizer of the Freedom Exposition and Executive Vice President of Development for Compact for America Educational Foundation, Inc. will be the speaker at our general meeting of the Republican Club and Patriot Alliance, 9:00 AM on November 1, Friends In Deed, 301 W. Camino Casa Verde, Green Valley. Don’t miss this fascinating speaker.

Get Out the Vote in November

Join us for a Get-Out-The-Vote training session to help us WIN in November!

One way to increase voter turnout is to contact those voters who haven’t gone to the polls by 2:00 or 3:00 PM on election day and remind them to vote. We are organizing a group to pick up the lists of those who have voted in each precinct and then calling those who haven’t voted to help them get to the polls. This will involve people to pick up lists, folks to make calls, and perhaps some to drive voters to the polls. If you want to help in this project, please contact Kay at 520-904-9103. The details of the training session will be forthcoming.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to

continue that counts. ~Winston Churchill
