The big business of Personal/Fitness Training. How

did you get involved?

Tay: After years of living the lifestyle of a competitive

athlete, it taught me perseverance, discipline and hard

work. Our bodies are capable of doing some amazing

things.

What are your thoughts when clients blame their

parents for their body type?

Tay: Genetics are no longer the ultimate deciding factor

in regards to your shape or physique.

Do you have a goal or mission for our readers,

athletes or any of your clients?

Tay: My mission

is to inspire

lifestyle changes. I

want everyone to

know what

healthy feels like

and to understand

that our body

image is a direct

reflection of our

habits and

priorities.

Not too long ago you were in a fitness

competition...How did that come about?

Tay: It was something that I wanted to do. I wanted to

truly test my discipline and look beyond the, "Here

Right Now!" And lastly because I owed it to myself to

finish what I started.

The Hype of Daily

Vitamins The "V" word

(vitamins) has

been around for

years. From

kids consuming

Flintstone

vitamins to a

daily regime

for seniors to

extend a healthy lifestyle. Adults may think that we are

getting nutrition by simply eating. However, there is a

twist that you may not realize. Natures source of fruits

and vegetables are an excellent group of nutrients to

help battle heart disease, stroke, cancer and other

problems that may occur. The Centers for Disease

Control (CDC) recommends that adults should

consume: 1.5-2 cups of fruit and 2-3 cups of veggies

daily. In a recent study they have also found that 75%

of adults don't eat enough fruit and 85% don't eat any

veggies at all.

So what is the best and easiest way to pull in extra

nutrients? Well...you can always start a raised bed

garden and consume your stock. Or take in a good

multivitamin that has the extra minerals and nutrients

missed in daily diets.

As the body ages it become much harder to absorb the

proper nutrients needed. Medications can deplete our

bodies of good nutrients. This problem can be offset by

a good multivitamin to correct a nutrient imbalance.

For example, healthy hair, skin and even your eyes can

benefit from Vitamins B3 (Niacin). When coupled with

biotin and Vitamin C these vitamins can create a

powerhouse of energy levels and a kick ass immune

system.

Touchable Abs...Do

You Have Them?

Athletes and regular people work extra hard to make

their arms, legs and back look incredible. But what

about those pesky abs. Without them the balance of

your gains can make or break how you look and feel.

The chiseled 4 pack or 6 pack abs is always a sought

after gem.

To make them pop out and be noticed, we listed a few

helpful hints to get your abs on the right track!

1.Train abs at least three times a week

2. Work on the total core section. Obliques, upper and

lower regions.

3. Use weights in you ab routine.

4. Cardio should be done at least three times a week.

5. Establish good new nutrition.

Ladies Workouts. What's

Best...Weightlifting or

Cardio?

Most ladies struggle with the sense of working out and

losing weight.

Another speed

bump in the road

is the method of

how to lose the

weight. On one

hand, lifting

weights has a

shtick of making a person too big. Cardio is best

known for a tiresome and very sweaty work out. Which

to go with? Frankly the idea in losing weight would be

cardio. Then to tone those newly exposed muscles, a

weightlifting program. The goal of toned muscles are

like icing on the cake. Cardio does its magic by burning

those extra calories more than strength training. The

high pace heart rate and being sweaty is the main

contributing factor to shedding pounds. But be sure to

select your pace wisely. High

intensity interval training

(HIIT) is really fast and is

known for quicker results. But

it too has its drawback of

being...you guessed it, intense!

If you are the type that would

rather a more slow approach

then there is the traditional and yet effective

walking/running mileage three times a week. This does

bun fat but far less calories than the HIIT. So whatever

your choice, always make a plan and follow it

consistently. You will then figure out how your body

responds to cert training.
