Introducing Statement Self ServiceEmployees can use Statement Self Service to access pay statements and tax forms online rather than having them physically delivered or mailed. The information can be viewed and printed at any time or location using a web browser.

This guide is intended to help you setup your computer and web browser so that you can register for Statement Self Service as an employee. Once you register for Statement Self Service, you can begin accessing your pay statements and tax forms online.

Registering for Statement Self ServiceStatement Self Service provides you with access to pay statements, tax forms, or both, depending on the options offered by your employer. You need to register for Statement Self Service before you can receive your documents online.

Note: Before you begin, ensure that your payroll administrator provides you with the company codes and client number needed to register.

To register for Statement Self Service, complete the following steps:

1. Open your web browser.

2. Enter http://registerme.adp.ca in the Address bar.

3. Press Enter. The Welcome page appears.

4. Click English. The Agreement page appears.

Note: The Agreement page displays the Registration Terms and Use of Personal Information, Security, and Employee Consent agreement that outline your rights and obligations when using Statement Self Service. You are required to accept these agreements as a condition of the service provided.

5. If you accept the terms and conditions, click I Agree. The Employee Self Registration Form page appears.

6. Complete the personal and pay information fields in Step1 and Step 2 on the screen.

Note: If you do not wish to enter your personal information to complete the self-registration, you will still receive paper copies of your statements.

Field Description

Full Name Your first and last name as they appear on your pay statement.

Client # A number issued by ADP Canada for each client.

Birth Date The day you were born by Year(YYYY), Month(MM), and Day(DD).

Company Code(s) The number that identifies your company with ADP Canada.

Note: Some employers are organized by department or division using multiple company codes. If you receive multiple pay statements, click Add to input additional rows of information for each company code.

7. Click Continue. The system displays a message box to confirm that the information is correct.

8. Click Yes. The system verifies your identity and displays the Step 3: Security Information page.

Hire Date The format for this field is YYYY-MM-DD

The Hire Date is the date:

• You first started working with the company;

• You returned from a leave; or

• You were rehired by the company (employer to advise).

Employee ID An alphanumeric identification number that identifies the employee.

Payment Date from last Pay Statement

The date you were paid on your last pay statement by Year(YYYY), Month(MM), and Day(DD).

Net Pay from last Pay Statement

The amount you were paid after taxes and other deductions on your last pay statement.

9. Enter your password in the Password field. The characters appear as asterisks for your privacy.

Hint: Your password should be minimum of 8 characters with at least one number, one letter, and one upper-case letter.

10. Re-type your password into the Confirm Password field, exactly as entered in the previous step. The characters appear as asterisks for your privacy.

11. Click Continue. The Step 4: Create your user profile page appears.

12. Enter your personal information in the profile fields.

Field Description

e-mail address The email account where a message with your new password is sent whenever your password is reset.

First Question A question selected from the list of questions available.

First Response A word or phrase you provide to answer the first question.

Second Question A question selected from the list of questions available, that is different from the First Question.

Second Response A word or phrase you provide to answer the second question.

Third Question A question selected from the list of questions available, that is different from the First or Second Question.

Third Response A word or phrase you provide to answer the third question.

13. Click Continue. The Step 5: Statement Self Service options page appears.

14. Click the check box for each pay statement and tax form you want to receive. One row is displayed for each company code that is available.

15. Click Continue. The Congratulations page appears. Your registration is complete.

Keep your User ID, Client # and Password safe. You need it to log onto the Statement Self Service web site.

Installing Plug-insAdobe Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format used for employee pay statements and tax forms. To view and print reports in your web browser, you need to download and install this plug-in.

To install the PDF plug-in, complete the following steps:

1. Click Get Acrobat Reader from the logon page or menu bar of Statement Self Service. The Acrobat Reader download page appears.

2. Follow the instructions on the page. When complete, you can view and print PDF documents.

Logging on to Statement Self ServiceOnce you have registered for Statement Self Service, you can use your User identification and Client# to log on to the Statement Self Service web site to download pay statements and tax forms.

To log in to the Statement Self Service web site, complete the following steps:

1. Enter http://my.adp.ca in the Address bar.

2. Press Enter. The Statement Self Service welcome page appears.

3. Type your identification name into the User field.

4. Type your password into the Password field.

5. Type your Client number into the Client # field.

6. Click Login. The Select Folder page appears.

Viewing Pay StatementsPay statements identify your remuneration, deductions and contributions for each period you receive payment from your employer. All pay statements are accessed through the Select Folder page. They are available for viewing and printing a set number of days before or after your date of pay, based on settings determined by your payroll administrator.

Note: Pay statements are only available in Portable Document Format (PDF). You need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to access these files.

To view your pay statements, complete the following steps:

1. On the Select Folder page, click My Pay Statements.

2. Click Open. The Search page appears.3. Click Search to see all available statements or enter dates in the Between and and fields to find

a specific Pay Date or Period End Date. The My Pay Statements page appears.

4. Select the statement that you want to view under the Pay Date column.

Viewing Tax FormsTax forms like T4 and T4A summarize your employment earnings, deductions, and contributions for the past year. All tax forms are accessed through the Select Folder page, with instructions for each applicable year displayed to the right of the pay statement information. Tax forms are released annually as part of your company’s year end process. Your payroll administrator determines when tax forms are made available.

Note: Tax forms must be requested well in advance of the calendar year end. If you did not request tax forms during the registration process, contact your payroll administrator.

To view your tax forms, complete the following steps:

1. On the Select Folder page, click My Tax Forms.

2. Click Open. The Search page appears.3. Click Search to see all available forms or enter dates in the Between and and fields to find a

specific Taxation Year or Form Type. The My Tax Forms page appears.

4. Select the tax form that you want to view.

Note: Tax Forms are only available in Portable Document Format (PDF). You need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to access these files.

Changing Your User ProfileEvery employee with access to Statement Self Service has a User Profile that manages password, user information, and statement Self Service options. Once logged in, you can access your user profile from the menu bar on every page of Statement Self Service.

Changing Your PasswordThe Change Password Form page is used to change passwords from within Statement Self Service. You can change your password at any time.

To change your password, complete the following steps:

1. On the menu bar, click User Profile then select to Change Password. The Change Password page appears.

2. Enter your old password in the Old Password field.

3. Enter your new password in the New Password field.

4. Re enter your new password again for verification in the Confirm New Password field.

5. Click Submit. Your password is changed.

Changing Your User InformationThe User Profile Information page is used to confirm your identity if you forget your password. You use it to record your email address and the answers to three questions of your choice. Then, if you ever forget or lose your password, you can confirm your identity by answering the same questions. When answered correctly, a new password is sent to you at the email address recorded.

To change your user information, complete the following steps:

1. On the menu bar, click User Profile then point to User Information. The User Profile Information page appears.

2. Enter your email address in the e-mail address field.

3. Select an option from the list in the First Question field. The question is displayed.

4. Enter an answer in the First Response field.

5. Select an option from the list in the Second Question field. The question is displayed.

6. Enter an answer in the Second Response field.

7. Select an option from the list in the Third Question field. The question is displayed.

8. Enter an answer in the Third Response field.

9. Click Save. Your information is changed.

Changing Your Statement OptionsThe Statement Self Service Options page displays the companies you receive remuneration from. You to select the pay statements and tax forms you want to receive electronically from your employer. These documents can then be displayed on the Select Folder page.

Note: Tax forms must be requested well in advance of the calendar year end. If you did not request tax forms during the registration process, contact your payroll administrator.

To open the Statement Self Service Options page, complete the following step:

• On the menu bar, click User Profile then select Statement Self Service Options. The Statement Self Service Options page appears.

To add a Statement Self Service option, complete the following steps:

1. Click the check box for each tax or pay statement you want to add. A check mark appears.

2. Click Save. A page appears, indicating that the statement was added.

3. Click Continue. The Select Folder page returns.

To remove a Statement Self Service option, complete the following steps:

1. Click the check mark for each tax or pay statement you want to clear. A confirmation message appears. The check box is cleared.

2. Click Save. A page appears, indicating that the statement was removed.

3. Click Continue. The Select Folder page returns.

To add a company code, complete the following steps:

1. On the Statement Self Service Options page, click Add Company Code. The Company Code Registration page appears.

2. Enter your company code in the Company Code field.

3. Click the calendar icon and select a date from the pop-up calendar or enter the pay date from your last pay statement in Year (YYYY), Month (MM), and Day (DD) fields.

4. Enter your net pay amount in the Net Pay from last Pay Statement field.

5. Click Continue. A new row of check boxes appear for the new company code.

6. Click Save. A page appears, indicating that the change is saved.

7. Click Continue. The Select Folder page returns.

To remove a company code, complete the following steps:

1. On the Statement Self Service Options page, click Remove. A confirmation message appears.

2. To stop receiving tax and pay statements through Statement Self Service, click OK. The company row is removed.

3. Click Save. A page appears, indicating that the company code was removed.

4. Click Continue. The Select Folder page returns.
