Construction Phasing
• Construction phasing workshops are on-going with the Construction Manager
at Risk (CMAR) Contractor, Design Consultant, and MWAA stakeholders to
develop the construction sequence for the Secure National Hall Project.
• Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Coordination plans for the Departures and
Arrivals’ roadways are being developed in anticipation of the construction of
the Exterior Work of the new Security Screening Checkpoints.
• Internal Phasing (National Hall, Public Circulation Areas, ticketing level, and
Metro Bridges) is being developed for the interior construction.
• Collaboration with A/E, CMAR Contractor, Airlines and various MWAA
stakeholders to identify and mitigate impacts to operations, airlines and
travelling public is underway.
• MOT/Internal Phasing planning is ongoing to maintain target completion of
Fall 2020.

Turner Outreach Program
• Training and Apprenticeship Programs - Partnering with Community
Hub for Opportunities in Construction Employment (C.H.O.I.C.E), a
pre-apprenticeship program to be hosted late January 2017/early
February 2017.
• LDBE Subcontracting and Training Programs - Turner School of
Construction Management in conjunction with Georgetown
University and Project 500 - Classes to commence February
28. Outreach will begin the week of January 20.
• LDBE Mentor/Protégé Program – Quarterly meeting scheduled for
February 2017 with MWAA Office of Supplier Diversity. Draft
agenda to be submitted.
• Career Outreach Program - Recruitment of summer college interns
to begin first quarter of 2017.
• Veterans Program - Ongoing
