Report on Tree Planting Activity
SY 20102011
It has been a long time since we had heard some alarming news from all over the world
regarding the continuous destruction of our Mother Earth due to the global warming and climate
change brought about of some technological and industrial advancements and human activities in
their daily livings.
Here in the Philippines, we had been all victims of the identified effects of global
warming and climate change such the El Nio and La Nia phenomenon, flash floods even on
crowded cities and landslides on low-lying areas. Everyone had experienced how the nature
showed her rage for all the human actions and behavior towards environmental conservation and
wellbeing.
In order to help those groups and individuals with personal advocacies to save our
Mother Earth, we, in our own ways, can be an integral part of this mission. Our efforts to
conserve energy in our homes and communities can aid the continuous sufferings of our
environment.
In this regards, Pallocan East Elementary School through the SL Circular No. 08 s. 2010
released by the Girl Scouts of the Philippine - Regional Council, conducted a Tree Planting
Activity last September 18, 2010 as part of the celebration of the Pista ng Kagubatan with this
years environmental theme, Every Girl A Tree.
The said activity was participated by all pupils and teachers with the help of the barangay
council officials. Trees, either fruit-bearing or non-bearing fruits, were planted along the sides of
the barangay roads and inside the school vicinity. The school administration had been instructed
to constantly monitor the growth of all planted trees with proper coordination with the
community.
