REPORT OF VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMP (2021-2022)
PRE SCHOOL
Fun activities were organized for the children of Preschool and Pre-Primary from 10th May
2021 to 21st May 2021. Due to pandemic learning had become primarily through virtual
platform it became even more important to impart children with advanced knowledge that
they can retain for lifetime. BBPS Brij Vihar, focused to provide children with the knowledge
through innovative playway methods.
PRE SCHOOL
DAY 1:
MYSTERY BOX
Teacher created a mystery box and took out activity cards. Children performed activities written
in the activity card such as hop like a bunny, find a fruit/ vegetable, jump like a monkey, etc.
PIN WHEEL SANDWICH MAKING
Teacher encouraged the children to make simple pin wheel sandwiches to bring out joy of learning
by doing. The material required in this activity was- bread slices, jam, chocolate syrup, spoon,
plate, rolling pin, clean duster and chopping board.
DAY 2
FREEZE GAME
Children enjoyed dancing, jumping, flying like a bird, airplane on the beats of the music played by
the teacher, they had to stop moving and be in their last position when the music stopped. The
purpose of this activity was to let children enjoy the online sessions.
TUNNEL MAKING
In this activity, children were asked to make tunnels with paper on a table and play game with
cars and ball. All the children were thrilled to play this game.
DAY 3
SPONGE ACTIVITY
In order to enhance fine muscle skills of children, a sponge activity was organized. In this activity
two bowls, water and sponge were required. Children dipped the sponge in a bowl full of water and
squeezed it in another bowl. They enjoyed playing with water.
WATER GAME
To make children have fun with water, a game was played during the online session. This game
required children to take out toys from a bucket full of water with the ladle or sieve. Children
enjoyed the activity and voluntarily repeated it many times.
DAY 4
FRUIT CHAAT MAKING

To beat the heat of summers and relish summer fruits, fruit chaat making activity was planned.
Teacher introduced summer fruits. The material used was diced seasonal fruits, bowl, chaat
masala, a spoon, a fork/ tooth pick. Children were relished their mouthwatering preparation.
LEMON WALK
It has been always a fun to see our little toddlers walk. A fun balancing activity was organised
during the online session. Children were required to balance a lemon on the spoon held in their
mouth while walking on a line.
DAY 5
TRACE AND MATCH
A fun activity with coins was planned for children. They had to do coin tracing on a white sheet
of paper using crayons and thereafter match the coins with the respective images.

MAKE YOUR MONEY
To let children, know about the concept of money, an activity was conducted where children pin
rolled a sheet of clay and put the coin imprints on it.
DAY 6
BLOW YOUR CUP
This activity was conducted in order to develop fine muscle skills in children. They were required
to blow paper cups across the table with a straw and see how far they could move their cup with
one blow.
MAZE WITH CLAY
Another fun game was conducted for the Preschoolers. They made a circular maze with clay in
the shape of a coil, blew the balls and put them in the center of the maze. This activity helped
them to improve their focus and concentration.
DAY 7
FROZEN PAINTSVILLE’s
A fun art activity was conducted for the children. This activity required an ice tray, water, glitter
and paints. Children were required to fill the ice tray with water with the help of a dropper and
mix poster colours, tissue paper, glitter and put a popsicle stick in it. Then the ice tray was kept
in the freezer to make colourful “paint sickle.”
EARBUD PRINTING
Earbud printing activity was organized for the Preschoolers to enhance their creative skills. An
earbud impression painting was done in Watermelon.
DAY 8
FINGER PRINTING IN BEEHIVE
To introduce yellow colour things among children, finger printing in Beehive was done. It was a
great fun for the tiny tots.
MANGO YOGURT MAKING
This activity aimed to teach about the king of fruits- MANGO. Teacher encouraged children to
make a Mango yogurt with the help of Mango pulp, yogurt and sugar. They thoroughly enjoyed the
activity and learning about the fruit.
Clay Modelling
Clay modelling activity was done to enhance fine muscle skills in children. They loved to make Sun
with yellow and orange coloured clay. All the children enjoyed the activity thoroughly.
DAY 9
MILK SHAKE
To beat the heat of the summers and relish summer drinks, Milk shake making activity was
conducted during the online session. Children learned how to make a milkshake with the help of
cold milk, Roohafza, chocolate syrup and sugar. This activity instilled interest in children to drink
milk happily.

CARDBOARD JUMP
In order to improve the balancing and gross motor skills in children, an activity called “Cardboard
Jump” was conducted, where they hopped and jumped on the cardboard and kept moving forward.
PRE PRIMARY
DAY 1:
BLIND FOLD DRAWING
Children blindfolded themselves and drew according to teacher’s instructions. Once done, they
unfolded themselves and saw the funny images they created. This activity helped children to
enhance their imaginative skills.
BUTTON UP
This activity aimed to make children learn about efficiency and self-grooming,
Children had to button up their shirt in 1 minute’s time till the
music was being played.
DAY 2
WORD ANTAKSHARI
Word Antakshari is a fun game to be played with kids. In order to brainstorm with new
vocabulary, the game was played during the online session and enjoyed by all.
MINUTE TO WIN IT.
To enable children to develop their fine motor skills and facial muscles, a Minute to Win activity
was conducted. In this activity children had to blow a paper cup across the table with a straw
and see how far they can move their cups
DAY 3
TREASURE HUNT
Treasure hunt was an interesting activity, which kept kids moving and active during the online
session. Teacher encouraged the students to explore and hunt the objects of different shapes
and colour in their home.
FISH OUT THE RUBBER BANDS
Children found this activity very interesting and fascinating as they love water games. In the
activity children had to take a big bowl filled with water and add rubber bands to it. Then they
dipped ice cream sticks/ forks in the bowl and tried to pick the rubber bands from it and transfer
in to an empty bowl.
DAY 4
DANCE FREEZY
Children were allowed to dance, jump on the beats of the music played and as soon as the music
stopped, they were to be frozen in their last position.
I SPY GAME
I spy with my little eyes something….
According to teacher’s instructions children hunted different objects which could be seen in the
background of any child. For example: teacher said “I spy a red bottle” now, children had to find
out which of their friends had got a red water bottle in the background. This activity helped
children to improve their observation skills.
DAY 5
TOUNGUE TWISTER
Children had to say tongue twisters slowly, repeat it and then build up the speed. For eg. red lorry
yellow lorry. This activity was found to be one of the most interesting activities amongst children.
LET’S MAKE THE QUTUB MINAR
Children were asked to place glasses upside down, then a small paper plate was placed over the
glass. They had to repeat the pattern till they could balance. Children loved this game.
DAY 6
STORY CHAIN
Story chain technique enables the child to be creative, improves imagination and make him/ her
expressive. The teacher started the story by showing a puppet. Each child had to use their
imagination to add a line to it thereby creating a story
COIN IN THE CIRCLE
To make children energized and enthusiastic while playing the games, a Coin in the circle activity
was conducted. Children were asked to put 10 circles on a flat surface and put a coin in the center
of the circle in a span of 1 minute. This activity was played with music in the background.
DAY 7
SLEEPY PENCILS
This activity improves concentration and eye hand coordination. Children had to keep 5 glasses
upside down on the table and place 5 pencils horizontally on each glass in a span of 1 minute. Music
in the background added excitement to the game.
COIN IN THE BUCKET
Parents were asked to place a bangle at the bottom of the bucket and fill it with water. Children
had to drop the coin in the bucket aiming at the center of the bangle. They were thrilled to see
their coin reaching in the center of the bangle.
DAY 8
HUNTING THE CHICKPEAS
This was a brain boosting activity for our children. In this activity, children had to find out the
hidden chickpeas by using their hands from a bowl of suji or rice in the given time of 1 minute.
PICK THE POM POM
A bowl with 10 pom poms were placed on the table. At the start of music children had to hold the
spoon in their mouth and put the pom poms one by one in the other bowl. At the stop of music
each child counted the number of pom poms collected. This activity was a real fun for all the kids.
DAY 9
CHARADES
Teacher pretended doing some actions and children had to guess for eg: Teacher pretended
reading a book, playing with a ball, cycling, etc. Children loved guessing and they took turns to act
as well as to guess.
FIND THE WAY OUT
Another fun game was conducted for the Preschoolers. They made a circular maze with clay in
the shape of a coil, blew the balls and put them in the center of the maze. This activity helped
them to improve their focus and concentration.
Learning Outcome: It promoted healthy development, critical thinking skills, reinforced
memory and helped children to understand cause and effect. It further, helped children to
explore the world and their role in it. Young children learnt that how things fit together
through playway activities. In these activities 349 children participated in these activities.
