intellectual movement called Humanism

● Art was seen as a branch of knowledge

● Birth of renaissance architecture began in Florence, Italy

● 1300-1700● Began after Gothic Style

What is Renaissance Architecture?● Renaissance architecture is a revival

of ancient roman architecture aesthetics.

● Architecture was based on a fusion between ancient roman architecture and 16th century structures, such as: walls, windows, domes, facades, columns, arches, and vaults.
