Hermeto Pascoal and Egberto Gismonti: two pillars of

Andre Mehmari: Pianist, arranger, composer and
instrumentalist,33 years. Won first prize in the 1998 Visa MPB.
Participates as asoloist at major jazz festivals nationally
andinternationally. Regarded as one of the most original musicians
ofthe Brazilian scene and winning both in scholarly and popular,
made
the opening track of the Rio Pan-American game and
hiscompositions and arrangements are played by some of the
mostexpressive orchestral and chamber groups in Brazil. As a
performerhas appeared with Milton Nascimento, Sergio Santos,
Guinga,Monica Salmaso, Toninho Horta, Dori Caymmi, Edu Lobo,
amongmany other names of Brazilian popular music.
