Reigning in life in righteousness through Jesus Brendan Mc Crossan

17-10-201 One

Called to reign in this life that we live now!The Christian children of God were chosen to reign in life as Kings in righteousness throughJesus Christ. In righteousness there is a rich amount of buried treasure hidden away until nowwhen God is revealing what righteousness really is and what it means for the children of Godand why it is vital to the Christians believers. Also how wide and how high and how varied isrighteousness that in nothing is the believer to walk in except righteousness.Let’s take the following scripture a little bit at a time to study it in its fullness.

Romans -5-16- Nor is the free gift at all to be compared to the effect of that one [man's]sin. For the sentence [following the trespass] of one [man] brought condemnation,whereas the free gift [following] many transgressions brings justification (an act ofrighteousness).

The first thing that we should notice in this scripture is that there is a free gift available. Wow!I love free gifts, especially ones from God. This free gift from God through Jesus comesbringing with it Justification, an act of righteousness. Remember for future references that thefree gift come from God, and it came even after you committed many acts of transgression.*{Transgression means wrongdoing, misbehaviour, disobedience, sin, and misdemeanour.}*You were given this free gift even after you sinned, committed many wrongdoings, disobedi-ence to God, bad behaviour, and still the free gift was given to you, even after all the wrongthings you done. Even when you grievously sinned, you still got this free gift, the act ofrighteousness. Righteousness is that wonderful free gift you got first from God even thoughtyou were the worst in the litter box.*{when you see where I highlighted some words in different colours, that’s because they areimportant, I’m sure you gathered that.}*

17For if because of “one man's” trespass (lapse, sin, offense) death reigned through thatone, much more surely will those who receive [God's] overflowing grace (unmeritedfavour) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself]reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden along with Eve, and he is the “one man” mentioned herein 5-17. But much more surely will those who receive God’s overflowing grace, his unmeritedfavour, in other words they didn’t deserve his favour. Those who receive God’s overflowinggrace and the free gift of righteousness; {there’s that free gift mentioned again, that Gift thatput us into right standing with God himself;} then he continues on to say will reign as Kingsin life, through Jesus Christ, not through yourself but through Jesus Christ.

Do you seriously mean that I am supposed to reign in this life, this lousy life that I am leadingright now as if I were a King? Yes my friend this lousy life as you would call it, is the life youwere chosen to lead, not as a lousy life but as a life filled with victory, joy and peace andliving in power, God’s power. Jesus won every victory for you in this lousy life he defeatedyour greatest enemy bringing him down to nothing and giving you power and authority overhim in this lousy life, “this awesome life you should be saying,” this life is awesome becauseI am living it as a king of life, are you? You’re supposed to be leading a victorious happy lifethrough Jesus and this is the secret’s to a joy filled life letting Jesus letting Jesus lead you invictory, through his free gift to you.You are supposed to live like King Arthur lived or other kings, like the king of Saudi Arabia,but not with the cruelty or dictatorship that other kings rule by. If you want to see how a goodking lives read the books of Kings 1and 2, and see for yourself how good kings done awesomethings and bad kings perished; read and learn from their mistakes.But you are to live and act through Jesus not through your wants and desires; you are to liveas kings through Jesus as a victorious king and loving others and helping others, and tellingothers about the love of God given to you and them through Jesus.

18Well then, as one man's trespass [one man's false step and falling away led] tocondemnation for all men, so one Man's act of righteousness [leads] to acquittal and rightstanding with God and life for all men.Because that one man, Adam sinned, {trespassed} he was leading us away from God, thenone man Jesus came and saved us bringing us back to him again, and it was “his” first act ofrighteousness that brought us to acquittal and right standing with God,{righteousness}

19For just as by one man's disobedience (failing to hear, heedlessness, and carelessness)the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man's obedience the many will be constitut-ed righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him).

Because Adam sinned we were separated from God and declared sinners, everyone on theplanet from then on after Adam were called sinners; but because Jesus obeyed God, even goingto death for us, he redeemed us as sinners because sinners are going to hell, he changed usfrom sinners into righteous people we were constituted righteous.We have a chosen mission in this life and that is to act as kings in life in righteousness,through Jesus; you were made righteous so that you could reign in life through Jesus inrighteousness.Come on you were created to reign in this lousy life making it a great life for you and yourfamily and fellow Christians.

21So that, [just] as sin has reigned in death, [so] grace (His unearned and undeservedfavour) might reign also through righteousness (right standing with God) which issuesin eternal life through Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) our Lord.{Amplified Bible}God has chosen through grace, his undeserved favour that we will reign in righteousnessshowing forth the glory of God’s work in us in this life.

TwoBecause as he is so are we in this world.1-John 4-17- 17In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completionand attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the Day of Judgment[with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.

This is how you reign in righteousness through Christ Jesus; it is because, as he is, so areyou. Is he righteous? So are you. Is he holy? So are you. Is he perfect? So are you. Is hea son of God? So are you {daughter}. Does he reign on this earth? NO! You reign on earthas one with him in spirit. Jesus is seated in heaven having completed all his work, resting,watching you finish up the command he gave you in Mark 16. You are to walk in this earthin this life as kings, reigning as kings in this life because you now have his life in you and havebecome one with him in spirit. You are supposed to demonstrate the victory of Christ Jesuswho is one with you in spirit. He finished his work, yours just begun when you became aChristian. You are now supposed to demonstrate that you are a king in this life and belongingto heaven, and demonstrate the devils defeat by Jesus, this is your work not Jesus work.It may surprise and shock you to know that Jesus does not heal people anymore. He himselftook their sickness and diseases on his body on the cross on Calvary, they are alreadyhealed, he can’t come and do something he already done. He won’t heal people no matter howmuch you may ask, unless your prayer is one of faith then sickness will leave the one youare praying for because of your faith. Your prayer, not Jesus, is healing them from the deceitof sickness and disease. Or his name is freeing them from disease that name of Jesus spokenin faith releases them from Satan’s grip, and this works for all of us, and is the work we havebeen given to do because we reign in life as Kings of life.I Peter 2-24. 2 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die tosins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” {NIV Bible}You can see this scripture for yourself and see you have already been healed from sickness anddisease. Every Christian has been commissioned to go preach the gospel, lay hands on the sickand heal them. It is you healing them or better still it is your commission to release them fromSatan’s control, he can still put sickness and disease on people. You are to reign in life and thatis reign in your life, releasing people from Satan’s diseases, demonstrating his defeat. Scrip-ture said you go into the world, {not Jesus} you preach the gospel, {Jesus did it while alivein his body} you lay hands on the sick and you heal them. Jesus laid hands on the sick whilealive and healed them, then he sent his apostles out to do the same, then he told you and me togo and do the same as he did.You are to reign in righteousness in life as a king through Christ overthrowing Satan inevery battle showing forth the authority Jesus gave you and because he Jesus is in you as onein spirit, you are to throw him out of every situation that you go through, you not Jesus are tokick him out, you have been given all authority in this life that you are reigning in.

Mark-16-17- 15 He said to them, “Go into the entire world and preach the gospel to allcreation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believewill be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name

they will drive out demons;  they will speak in new tongues; 18  they will pick upsnakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all;they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

Who is to lay their hands on sick people? “You” are to lay your hands on sick people,because you are in righteousness, Right standing with God at all times, not some times but atall times, even when you sin and repent, you are always in righteousness even when you sin,because if you backtrack in this book to the beginning you will see the scripture that says hegave you righteousness even while you trespassed against him.

You are the one people are looking towards for help in this life and you are the one who canhelp them in this life you are the one reigning in this life through Jesus Christ in righteousnessand don’t let the devil tell you any different.Below are some other scripture that show you, that you are to reign in this life through Jesus.It is his entire plan and purposes not yours so there is nothing for you to boast about.

ThreeReigning in life as kings forever, throughout eternity

Revelation 22:5Amplified-BibleAnd there shall be no more night; they have no need for lamplight or sunlight, forthe Lord God will illuminate them and be their light, and they shall reign [as kings]forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities).

I didn’t want to write that at the beginning because I was afraid that you would find it hard tobelieve that you are to reign as kings forever, even into eternity, what a joyous thought.Remember Jesus is the king of kings, and he says you are a king.

Revelation 5:10Amplified-Bibleand You have made them a kingdom (royal race) and priests to our God, and theyshall reign [as kings] over the earth!

We Christians are kings of life and righteous but we are even more! We are kings of life andwe are a Royal Race, a Royal priesthood is what we are through righteousness, a gift from

God. Remember that we were given free gifts this is more of the gifts, to reign in life throughrighteousness and to be a Royal race and a Royal priesthood to God. We are to reign in lifein righteousness and bring much glory to God in our reign and may your reign be a long andblessed reign

What a God we serve.
