Division Statistics
We had 37 training requests over the last 3 months.
Event statistics
We had 15 events in the last 3 months. The details of our events can be found in our Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/vatsea?fref=ts
WorldFlight highlighted our limitation of teamspeak. This started a lengthy negotiation with VAT-TS to further
grow our Teamspeak. We also intend to train our controllers better.
Indonesia VACC
Indonesia is currently rebuilding and training new controllers with the leadership of Rahman Lie with the
assistance of the VATSEA team.
Hong Kong VACC
Events
Hong Kong’s policy is to hold events on alternative weeks with training sessions in between. Hong Kong is
experimenting with using Macau for event and single runway operations.
Training
Hong Kong’s training team is now using SWEATBOX for granting solo rating for tower and below.
Malaysia VACC
Nothing much happened within Malaysia vACC during Q4 2015. We are working close with the local flightsimmers
community organizing group flight and supporting their flight by providing ATC coverage. Our Facebook
community continues to grow seeing new faces joining the network from time to time. There are no minor
changes made to the website. Only 1 CPT and rating upgrade was conducted during this period. We are looking
forward to 2016 with great plans ahead.
Philippines VACC
As for the Philippine vACC is concerned we are experiencing some sort of slowdown in terms of trainings and
recruitment due to the fact that people are quite busy with their studies considering that it’s the final season.
Secondly, our training in charge, Darl, has been recently deployed to an overseas assignment thus dividing his
attention.
Although the situation is like this, we have our own group chat which is currently active as we discuss future plans
and training schedules. I am expecting this situation to continue until late of February as the school year ends.
As for our website, we have now finished the design and layout and is now just putting in articles, we are
planning to host it in vatsea website initially until we can get our own domain.
Singapore VACC
Training
Justin Tan joins as Instructor.
Singapore VACC applies SWEATBOX validation for APP training and below. Singapore VACC intends to use
SWEATBOX for CTR training.
Events
Singapore VACC runs real operations on Sep 21st with 72 movements. This is still short of our target of 200
movements but we will continue to improve.
Thailand VACC
We now have a working website and a forum thanks to Tony!
We lost our Mentor Adar to a transfer. He is still a visiting controller.
We continue to provide AIRAC updates to the sector files.
We are still in need of Instructors. I am currently the only one on paper but I have been very busy to get on and
train.
We had some participation for the World Flight Event.
We currently have 13 home controllers and 13 visiting controllers.
Vietnam-Cambodia-Laos VACC
Not much has happened over the last quarter at VCL. It continues to grow steadily. We had 1 upgrade to S1 and 2
new members. The introduction of our new training system will hopefully improve this as we are seeing the
benefits of it already in this quarter.
We have now advertised for a Training Director and an Events Director and Anthony Colduck was appointed as
ACCVCL4 Technical Director. There are currently 24 members of VCL but most are in-active. We will be working
hard to get these members back on the scopes
There has been a steady increase in online activity with VVTS seeing an average of 13 hours a week.
Hopefully I will have more for you next quarter Eugene. The training system has the facility to do a report so I will
have accurate figures for you.

Operations
Events This year’s World Flight has 3 legs and 2 airports (ZSPD, ZLLL) in VATPRC airspace. We have done a lot of work to prepare for this annual event, and the traffic of each legs made all of us excited. Moreover, we continue to hold events on every Saturday, including events between VATPRC and VATKOR, VATPRC and VATROC, and the ASIA HOP event. Besides holding events regularly, we also promoted events of other divisions/regions and encouraged our members to participate.
