Human Environment Interaction-

Victoria Falls is one of the most popular tourist sites in the world!

Things to do:  ● abseiling ● bungee jumping ● flights over Victoria Falls ● elephant and horseback trails ● walk with cheetahs and lions ● gorge swing ● hydrospeeding ● kayaking ● river boarding ● swim below the Falls ● white water rafting ● canoe rides

 Gorge Swing

http://www.victoriafalls-guide.net/high-wire.html

Place- Victoria Falls is the place to go for a

vacation! Niagara Falls is over twice as small. The size of Vic. Falls can vary from

256 feet at the right bank to 355 feet in the center (“Victoria Falls”). Also, the falls

creates a mist that can be seen from over a dozen miles away. Once the water going

down hits the bottom, it sprays back up high enough to see. "Stone artifacts from

the hominin Homo habilis have been identified near the falls and show that early humans may have lived here two million years ago (“Victoria Falls”)” (symbolism).

Like the Mesa Verde, it’s possible that people may have lived in the stone at

Victoria Falls. In conclusion, Victoria Falls is filled with fun activities and places to

explore.

Movement-  ● you can fly and take a boat to

Africa ● have to drive to the falls or take a

tour bus ● walk around the park with a tour

guide and other tourists ● able to walk around the national

park ● several fun activities to do once

there ● you are able to plan flights from

mostly all over the world http://www.travelstart.co.za/lp/vic-falls/flights

“The Smoke That Thunders”

Victoria Falls, one of the world’s largest waterfalls, was discovered in 1855 by Dr. David Livingstone (“Victoria Falls”). This enormous

waterfall is located in Zimbabwe, Africa. Actually, him and his team were on a journey to explore one

of Africa’s largest rivers, the Zambezi, but instead, they

discovered Victoria Falls ("Dr. David Livingstone: Discovery of

Victoria Falls").

Eye- witness:

"The whole scene was extremely beautiful; the banks and islands dotted over the river are adorned with sylvan vegetation of great variety of color and

form…no one can imagine the beauty of the view from anything witnessed in

England. It had never been seen before by European eyes, but scenes so lovely

must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight (hyperbole). (“Livingstone

Discovers Victoria Falls, 1855”).” http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/livingstone.htm
