I had the opportunity to travel to China over the holidays. I had a fantastic time and saw many wonderful sights. The people were friendly and easy to be with. The Great Wall is simply magnificent—one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced. Term 4 is a long, hard-working term in which significant learning should occur. Our students need to read every night and complete all homework that is set. I am very confident our students will achieve great success this term. Highlights of the term include prep and grade 1 activity nights, grade 2 sleepover, grade 3/4 camp in Mildura, grade 2-6 swimming programme and the end-of- year concert. Family Maths Night: Red Cliffs Primary School will be hosting a fantastic Family Maths Challenge Night next Monday, 10th October. Our Family Maths Night will start at 6.30pm. Parents and students from Prep - Grade 6 are encouraged to come along and experience some fun and important maths activities. Maths Association Victoria will be running the evening. Our Family Maths night is being funded directly by the Department of Education and Training. Please put this important date in your diary. Mini Show: The annual Red Cliffs Primary School Mini Show will be held next Friday, October 14th. All students are encouraged to enter as many sections as they can. Parents are invited to come and tour our show during the morning from 9.30am. Aussie of the Month: Congratulations to Katrina Clifford, Red Cliffs Primary School’s Aussie of the Month for September. Katrina has a fantastic attitude towards her schooling, encourages others in class and is always very helpful. Well done Katrina! Grade 3/4 Excursion: Students in grade 3/4 will be travelling to the Mildura Show next Thursday morning to participate in National Water Week Activities. Permission forms were sent home yesterday... Prep Excursion: Prep students will be walking to the Red Cliffs Kinder next Thursday morning to meet many of next year’s prep students. As this is a local excursion permission forms are not required. Principal’s Report: Welcome Back:

I sincerely hope all staff,

students and parents had a

wonderful holiday.

I had the opportunity to travel

to China over the holidays. I

had a fantastic time and saw

many wonderful sights. The

people were friendly and easy

to be with. The Great Wall is

simply magnificent—one of

RCPS Mini Show 2016

On Friday14th

October we will once again be holding our Mini Show.

Please make an effort to enter as many sections as you can.

The more people who participate, the better our show will be.

All entries must be delivered to the Multi-Purpose Room by 8.50am on Friday 14th.

Come to our foodcents program.

WHAT: 7 week healthy eating and cooking program

WHEN: Tuesday at 9.30am to 11.30am

WHERE: Red Cliffs Primary School – Murray Ave, Red Cliffs.

COST: FREE START DATE: 11th October, 2016 to 29th November, 2016

As a group we will learn about healthy eating and cooking. Give some tips to

save money on your grocery bill and share and cook healthy recipes.

There will be activities for children 0 -5 years about healthy food and active play

and the children can also join in some cooking activities with their parents and

carers.

If you are interested in this program, come along to our information session on

Tuesday 11th October at 9.30am at Red Cliffs Primary School or call Danielle on

the above phone number.
