UNO's rock climbing wall, located in one of the best campus recreation centers in the country,

is one of the largest in the Midwest. It’s no wonder the wall is so popular among Mavericks.

It serves as a standing reminder of the power of focus, determination, and perseverance

as it challenges climbers of all skill levels mentally and physically.

center of Omaha—Dodge campus,

Pacific campus, and Center campus—

UNO has deep ties to the city.

Nestled between city parks, UNO sits

on more than 500 acres of land.

The city truly functions as part of the

UNO community and is an integral part

of the university by offering unlimited

opportunities for collaboration.

UNO students receive free admission

LIFE BEYOND THECLASSROOM

Beyond academics, students have access to many different

resources providing balance and productivity outside of class.

The cornerstones of student life—wellness, achievement,

involvement, and inclusion—are each supported by programs

and services that ensure there’s always someone to reach out to.

UNO has specifically designed

programs and services to support

students academically, socially,

emotionally, and physically.

Programs range from our Academic

Resource Centers to Counseling

Services, from Multicultural Affairs

to leadership development.

The story of UNO is long and rich.

It began in 1908 and is still being written.

The belief that there is always room

for improvement is rooted in our culture,

while Omaha continues to grow

and thrive in tandem with us. Together,

our commitment to progress moves

the city forward as evidenced by the

construction of the new UNO/Community

Arena. Today's UNO is different from

the UNO your parents knew. We stand

on the shoulders of alumni who came

before us to greet this new and exciting

day as we continue to be Nebraska's

premier metropolitan university.
