REBATE—DIVIDEND Directors are happy to announce that a 2.5% rebate on members trading from the 1st April 2012 to 31st March 2013 and a 5% dividend on shareholding will be credited to members accounts this month and will appear on your June TAFCO Statement. Trading has been very successful with turnover nearing $4million for 2012-2013. A full 12 months trading since the acquisition of Murray Goulburn Trading has grown our business and is reflected in higher turnover and profits for distribution. The Board have accepted 25 new membership applications this year and would like to welcome new members in joining the Co-operative and sharing the profit distribution. The Board have also welcomed Bec Hamilton, our newest observer Director to the team. Bec joins the Board with a strong business skillset, having a background in civil engineering, managing an earthmoving contracting business and a commercial kiwi fruit farm. In 2013-14 TAFCO will continue to improve infrastructure and secure ongoing sustainability of the business.

A refresher course needs to be undertaken by people wanting to keep their Agvet Chemical User Certificates current. This short course enables users of AgVet Chemicals to keep up to date with changes in chemical use, new legislation and to have a reminder about safety and best practice. Certificates are current for 5 years – there is no legal requirement to keep your certificate current, but considering the constant changes to legislation and your obligation as farmers to some how keep up with it all – a refresher every five years is probably not a bad idea….If your not sure whether you are due to undertake a refresher then it’s probably time to book in, but you can check with Jenni at AusChem Training (03) 5622 2055 the date of your last course.
