BFI AUDIENCE FUND OBJECTIVES

• Grow the diversity of audiences engaging with film

• Develop the 16 to 30 year old audience for film

• Increase access to independent British and

international film for audiences, especially those outside London

• Enhance confidence, best practice and

capability of the sector

• Increase access to the UK’s screen heritage

via the BFI’s National Archive of film and TV, and those of the regions and nations

WHAT IS THE FILM AUDIENCE NETWORK AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

• 8 Film Hub Lead Organisations

• The aim is to develop wider audiences for a diversity of film

• To support a stronger, more confident and connected UK-wide sector

• The Film Hubs are made up of members

• There are over 1,200 members (a mix of venues,

festivals, programming collectives, archives &

assorted others)

• Members are able to apply for FUNDING

• FAN works to an audience target, mapped against BFI priorities and outcomes as stated in

BFI2022
