REAL HELP FOR PEOPLE NEEDING CHANGE TODAY!

2016 ANNUAL REPORT

AT OUR COREOUR GOD

is the all-powerful, all-knowing creator of all things—the

Father, Son and Holy Spirit as one. God loves His creation

and He is full of truth and grace.

OUR CALLING

Transformed by God’s love, we are called to serve those

with whom we come in contact and to share the love He so

freely gives us. We are people serving people.

OUR NEIGHBORS

Created in the image of God, the people we serve are

valuable and unique. They come to NewDay broken by

family crisis, seeking to change their circumstances.

OUR SERVICE

We meet people at the point of their need. We walk beside

them providing inspiration, vision, practical tools and life

coaching. This gives families the opportunity to embrace

sustainable change for themselves and their children.

ABOUT USNewDay Services rebuilds children’s lives by helping fathers

and mothers gain the tools they need to redirect their lives.

We provide Chaplaincy, Family Services, Healthy Parenting,

and Mentor Navigation Services throughout North Texas.

REAL HELP FOR PEOPLE NEEDING CHANGE TODAY!

OUR MISSIONNEWDAY SERVICES ENHANCES CHILDREN’S LIVES BY EMPOWERING THEIR PARENTS —OFFERING THEM HOPE AND INSPIRATION THROUGH PRACTICAL TOOLS & LIFE COACHING.

KEY STRATEGIC INITIATIVESCHAPLAINCY

Pastoral Care and support to families/children at the

Tarrant County Family Courts and Juvenile Justice Center.

FAMILY SERVICES

Provide tools and training to resolve conflict and coach

parents toward cooperative parenting.

Anger Resolution | Case Mediation

Co-Parenting | Individual Counseling

HEALTHY PARENTING

Assist mothers and fathers to maximize their positive

influence in the lives of their children and to deal positively

with life stresses.

MENTOR-NAVIGATION

Provide a dedicated point of contact to help mothers and

fathers gain the confidence and skills toward economic

stability, responsible parenting, healthy relationships and

community connections.

HEALTHY PARENTING STORIES:FATHERHOOD: EFFECT“I’m called a career criminal by the state. NewDay

said I am a man, a father…not weak…a strong father

figure. NewDay has helped me be a better person, all

the way, every day. This program opens your eyes and

gives you a foundation and stability—a foundation to

build what you need for your future and the future of

your family. Thank you!” Anthony, Recent Fatherhood:

EFFECT graduate

FOCUS FOR FATHERS“The first night I thought, screw this. But in the next

few weeks I began to understand how my baby (7

month old daughter) needs me to be her father. As

a father, I have an important influence in her life! I

cannot mess up any more with alcohol. I can’t relapse.

She needs me to step up to the plate. It makes me want

to work harder for her.” FOCUS for Fathers Program

participant

“When I walked into CPS I had a negative perception

of them and they had a negative perception of me.

Working through the FOCUS for Fathers Class, I have

been able to change those perceptions. That is an

awesome feeling.”

FOCUS FOR MOTHERS“Parenting class (FOCUS for Mothers) has made

me learn a lot on how to value the ones I love. I have

learned how to control my anger and my own attitude.

I know that I must accept people for who they are, and

stop trying to control others. I learned that my child

is looking up to me to be the role model. I have to

demonstrate the qualities that I want to pass on to my

daughter. I am sorry for the bad choices I made, but I

love my daughter so much. I hope that one day soon

she will find it in her heart to forgive me.” FOCUS for

Mothers Program participant.
