“My experience at Daniels prepared me to lead with character and conviction. The proformas and other analysis tools used in my courses are still useful for me in my day-to-day operations. More important than knowing how to analyze potential projects, I believe that conducting yourself in an ethical manner is crucial to having a long-term, successful career in the commercial real estate industry.”

— Jake Hallauer, Master of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management, 2012

Vice President, Chrisland Commercial Real Estate, Inc.

“I chose to attend the Burns School because the program was exactly what I was looking for—a curriculum geared toward the entrepreneurial real estate investor and developer. In this program, I learned to thoroughly and professionally analyze markets and investment opportunities. I also gained the confidence to play in the commercial and institutional arenas. Through my experience in the DU real estate program, I developed the skills, abilities and network needed to take my career to the next level and be involved in large commercial real estate transactions.”

— Brian McDonald, Executive Master in Real Estate and Construction Management, 2008

National Account Manager, First American Title— National Commercial Services
