If you would like to do extra learning at home, chose an activity and hand your home learning book in every Wednesday for marking. Book talk After you have read a book with your grown up tell them what you like or didn’t like about it. Bed time story Ask an adult to read you a bed time story. SPECIALSMaths Choices

2D pictureUse 2D shapes to draw a picture.

Number bondsCan you invent a game or song to practice your number bonds to 5.0+5=5 5-5=01+4=5 5-4=12+3=5 5-3=23+2=5 5-2=34+1=5 5-1=45+0=5 5-0=5CountingCount different objects at home.For example, how many teddys do you have at home? Superhero powersWrite 2 sentence about what your superhero power would be and draw a picture.

Writing ChoicesWe love writing in Year 1. Try some at home!

NamesCan you write the names of your family in lots of different ways. For example, chalk, paint, crayon, alphabet spaghetti.Keep it neatPractise writing your name 10 times, really neatly.

Sounds are greatFind things around your house that have a sound we have learnt in class.

Look for meCan you find the letters of your name in signs when you are out and about?Superhero factsDraw your own superhero gadget and label all the parts.

Places to goCan you draw a picture of your favourite place to visit and label it (these are nouns).Super sentenceFor a challenge, can you take a photograph of something you have done and write just one sentence telling us about it.

StartersLittle things that don’t cost much but need to be done every week.

Reading £0.10Read 15 pages of your book to someone and get them to sign your planner.Practice your number card £0.10Practice your number card – bring it into school and prove that you can earn the next sticker.Spellings £0.10Practice your spellings 3 times at home. Ask someone to sign this off in your planner.

Maths CoursesNumbers are great. These courses are the ones you’ll need to choose if you’ve been asked to choose from the maths section.
